Great performance. No problem with them taking their foot off the gas second half. Game was won first half and they kept a clean sheet. Save that energy and learn to manage a game when the job is 90% done. Top marks all round and for Poch :love:

Am I the only one that feels a bit angry and disappointed after a relatively easy 4-0 away win? Thought we were very complacent and, dare I say it, arrogantly disinterested in the second half! Goal difference could be a massive factor at the end of the season considering the way City, Chelsea and Utd are banging them in and we've just squandered a great chance to really boost our goal difference, could've hit double figures today with the right application and desire. Anyway, rant over, just frustrated that we don't truly punish teams when we have the chance.

Yes, you are alone, essentially. That was a professional display. Trying to score more goals and then letting them back in would have been stupid, and is the problem that has been apparent at Wembley such as against Chelsea.

2nd half was quite tame but I think poch tells them to drop off the intensity. Why? Last season we had a similar pattern and it allowed us to finish the season strongly and I reckon where are doing it again

Both probably

Well Kane did look a little peeved coming off. He wanted a hattrick. You could see he was muttering as he came off. I'm not saying he's thinking of leaving the club. In fact I'm sure he's over it because he's a model professional.

And Sissoko didn't play particularly well. He did well to get into a position to score. His goal was fortunate at best. His other highlights was a lovely burst of pace followed by a blind cross under no pressure and losing possession to give Hudds a counter. Pretty meh IMO.

Anyways...great result.

I know he's had his doubters, but the way Kane is playing at the moment I think he might make it with us.

Davies was amazing. Is he even better than Rose on this form?

As for Kane - 13 goals in a calendar month is quite frankly ridiculous. The second was a thing of beauty.

Kinda concerning Jan is ever so reliant nowadays, but Toby is abit regressing no?
Jan has been outperforming Toby for some time now, last season as well.

I don't know if Toby is regressing, though there are some mistakes creeping into his game. He still is exceptional, today as well he bailed Sanchez out once, before Sanchez returned the favour. He will never match his performances in his first season, but shouldn't count against him he is still a superb defender.

Just think but for two moments of madness in injury time v Chelsea and Burnley we would have three more points on the board. Learning from our mistakes and continuing to improve in the area of game management.

He had a few good touches, and linked up well on a few occasions and added a bit of zip at the end of a very boring half of football.

Where he is genuinly useful as a player is he is a good runner of the ball, he can exploit spaces with deep runs from midfield.

Fully agree. He just played so flawlessly in his first season, now expectations from him is just so hard to keep up! Still, wouldn't wanna trade any CB in the league with ours!
