7 games in to season...
4 wins 2 draws 1 loss(to Chelsea).
4 away wins on a bounce but still to hit the ground running at Wembley.
Hopefully we will win against a struggling Bournemouth next game & start a run at home

Il never stop believing in the title but i jyst dont see us winning enough games (especially v top 6) at wembley to really challenge for the title.
Top 4 and not too far away in the end. Next season we can win for sure.

Reckon we won't have a problem finishing top four bit I'd be more confident of the title if it wasn't for Wembley.

Away form impeccable, home form pretty dire - 2 draws, one defeat, zero wins.

I don't see us in the title race, personally, and i'd take 4th place if it was offered now. It'd be huge for us to go into the new stadium with another CL campaign to look forward to.

City showed today how good they are...Also Chelsea showed how vulnerable they are.

City United will fight for title. Our involvement will come down to Home form.

Chelsea won title last season by 7 pts without European football & we dropped 10 pts after CL games. This season Chelsea with Europe are already struggling. I am confident we will finish above them as long as no key injuries happen

I agree with arunspurs. Id love to be proved wronf and turn wembley into a fortruss but i just cant see it. Our away record may well be enough to see us get top 3/4 but not actually win it.
Next season i actually see us as favourites and will be very confident of us winning the pl.
Il be desperately waiting for the manc teams to fall apart and flop but they both look so relentless.

It comes down to Harry Kane's overall season performance and injury record. No injuries to Kane, and I say top 4. And I don't actually mean that in a derogatory "one-man-team" kind of way. It's just that's the difference, I think.

If no injuries to Kane , I would say top2.

Agree, it can almost be a negative to have someone head and shoulders above the rest. Need Delle to step up this season and Son to keep going, Llorente to get some games time etc. Need the strong team ethic to be the main thing not just one player.

Not to say Harry banging in hat tricks every week is a bad thing, but we need a fall back if/when he misses a game or two.

Most naturally, if several players hit that next level in form, and we obtain an injury free squad, than heaven is the ceiling. But I don't see us becoming actually injury free. As long as Kane is spared this season from major troubles though, we'll probably finish top 4.

I have to say that the whole squad has kicked on for last season, never thought that was possible and credit must be given to Poch......best manager for a generation.

I suppose, yeah. But there is the issue regarding injuries. I'm starting to fear it's not only coincidental or bad luck.

We need to beat Bournemouth and follow it up with a win against Liverpool, it'll put this Wembley business well behind us and we will grow in confidence believing that we can beat anyone anywhere (probably not Madrid)

I think every year teams like City and United get off to fliers and the collective media have some kind of shared jizzfest.

Then they get beat and all look at eachother with funny looks on their faces and the wheels fall off.

It's simply too early to even contemplate it.

One thing is for sure. The teams that will be fighting for the premier league will definitely be in Europe. We're not getting another Leicester or Chelsea (with no European football)
There's just no one outside of Manchester or parts of London that'll be anywhere near it.

I honestly believe too much is made of Wembley.... We a team adapting to a new home. The chelsea game was about the tactics on the day. We start off the season slowly too.

I think having United. City. Liverpool and Chelsea also in CL will be to our benefit. I think we can continue to challenge for the title this season. City came out flying last season... They will dip\level off at some point. United too.

Bold to call us favourites. City were suspect for several years and now are ironing out their defensive problems whilst having some of the best attacking talent in world football. Not far off being a proper champions league force either after years of flopping.

Going to be hard to topple them for sometime now I think unfortunately. The chance was last year and in the Pellegrini year

Also we may take a bit of time bedding into the new stadium too. That will lack familiarity as well for a period in terms of the spaces, how the ball moves, crowd noise etc. Psychologically being so close to WHL will help though
