We'll but up there come April. We need a wobble from the Manchester clubs. I'm pretty convinced united will have one... I'm not so sure about city. But if they do we will put them under pressure.

I love how we've gone from,
"The problem with spurs is they don't have any big name players who can win a game on their own"
to
"That Harry Kane team, one man team"
Over the last couple of years. The media do love to spin a yarn.

says the manager of the Sheikh Mansor Oil money team

stay classy Pep, carry on like that and you might one day manage Chelsea

Pep making himself look a bit of a dickhead with his Kane Team comment.

Yes the Kane that we bought through our youth team rather than going out and buying success (including a right back Poch developed).

Anything Man City wins is tainted far as I’m concerned with the disgusting amount they spent this summer in particular.

And looks like they refused to sell us Sancho even though we sold them Walker, stay classy City, stay classy...

Rubbish comment from Pep, especially given that he was fortunate enough to manage the greatest player of all time for the first four years of his managerial career.

"This Barca will be remembered as Messi’s Barca. He’s well above anything else I’ve ever seen. He’s an alien." - Messi's former team-mate Carles Puyol

"We give him the ball and stand back and watch. People often say to me they saw Pele and Maradona play. In the future, I will be able to say I saw Messi play." - Thiago Alcantara

Can't find the Xavi quote I wanted, though there are several others, but Xavi, while playing with Messi, openly stated that without Messi they were good, with him they were great.

Point being, fuck off Pep.

Being 3rd is best at the moment, until Christmas. Hope by then the top 2 will begin to fuck themselves so hard they are losing the grip and we can chase past them, at the same time we evaded most of media attention prior.

As long as kane, alli and eriksen put it in the net we have a chance because we all know how solid we are at the back.

Hoping that the manc's somehow slowup and allow us alongside them. Fingers crossed we can be the team to put a big winning run together like we did last year.

United are very good team, but lets be honest they have played some utter dross teams till now - WestHam, Swansea, Leicester, Everton, Stoke,Southampton, Palace- In this Southampton 12th in the table is the best team they have beaten. They have also been very lucky in CL draws & league cup draws too...

While winning breeds confidence - fact is United has not been tested at all. Liverpool away after break is their biggest test. Over the next 2 months they will face tougher games including us.

Inspite of us being shite at Wembley - we are only 5 points behind them. Lets see how next 2 months plays out - am not yet ruling us out of finishing above United again.

And yet the media have already dubbed them invincible. All those teams are absolute shit so far this season

Lets not forgot we have also had a kind set of fixtures so far. The only difficult one we lost

Agree, we've fluffed our lines against Burnley and Swansea which should have been two home bankers. Everton are crap this season. West Ham was a decent result considering they treat us like their cup final. Newcastle was another good win considering their record against us, Huddersfield are a championship side (no offence intended).

The real tests are against Liverpool and United, 4 points is the bare minimum required.

For me the only surprises from my pre-season predictions have been 1) City’s result at Chelsea, I really thought Conte would do a number on Pep and 2) our form at Wembley, I expected better than 2 points from 9. Beyond that I think the other teams are par for the course.

City - devastating going forward but I still think they are vulnerable defensively and mentally, let’s see how they do when someone with a good defence hits them on the counter and how they rebound after a loss
United - all brawn and no finesse, expect them to struggle against better teams
Chelsea - not fired yet but still ahead of where they were last season and capable of going on another run, I hope the rumours of Conte wanting to leave are true
Goons - their trajectory is downwards for as long as they keep AW at the club, long may it continue
Pool - no keeper, no defence, no chance

I’d take our manager over any of the others and I’d back us to improve more than any other team. If we were at WHL I’d be pretty confident of winning the league, Wembley is our achilles, but I really think Poch will fix that soon. COYS

I'd fancy us to get a couple of results against United.

City can still be got at if you can turn them around and isolate Fernandinho and the centre halves. Thought Chelsea were going to do that but they just couldn't get close to them, especially when Morata went off.

Even if we could unpick them, can't see enough other teams being able to.

United have Liverpool away next.

They're stronger this year for sure but let's be honest you couldn't pick 7 better fixtures to start with.

There is no way I would swap our squad for theirs.

to be honest we have only had 1 match that would be classed in the "tough category" so far Chelsea at home. drawing at home to Burnley and Swansea was bad news, and even the loss to a depleted Chelsea team hurt us.

with Liverpool after a tough trip to RM, though Liverpool will have to travel to Maribor and due to their results so far won't be able to rest players, will not be an easy game. the games we both play suits Liverpool with their speed, we just need to take control early with their leaky defence.

then Man U away, after playing Wet Spam 24 hours later than Utd playing Swansea with their reserves. we might need to risk bailing the Carabao Cup or chance being 8pts behind them providing they are still 5 ahead of us by the time we roll up at OT.

this season we play City at their place 1st, last season playing them at WHL 1st did us good. if they are still flying that will be a tough match to match our draw from last season.

at the moment I fancy City with us, Man U, & Chelsea in a battle for 2nd spot, but we need to start getting results at Wembley ASAP

The Harry Kane team that beat his team 2 - 0 last year with no Harry Kane in it.

Don't get ahead of yourself, silly prick.

Don't think he meant that to be mean, he's just trying to make a point about Kane to say how good he is, every time he's spoken about us he's praised us so don't see why he'd change his time now.

Because he now views us as a genuine threat

Not even being biased, but when everyone in the league has a fully fit squad to choose from we have the most balanced and effective team.
Make no mistake's about it we can compete for the title, City and United are by no means unbeatable.

We'll just have to take our chance when it comes, because it will. Then we'll see what this team is made of, because this group of players has the potential to achieve great things.

Maybe not mean that mean like a Mou's standard of mean, but surely that was a disrespectful remark. Add some essence of turning our player's head in that, and we have a hypocrite Pep.
