Columbus have a midweek game, in a game we will like dominate I think Sanchez can have a rest. He's had a whirlwind couple of months, it won't harm him or us.

Wanyama and Dembele are both pencilled in to be fit, but if not then KWP and Nkoudou instead on the bench.

Winks has earned the right to try to build on his recent progress. Let's strike while the iron is hot as timing can be everything with the development of young players.

Changed my mind re. Winks, I think he'd be more use against Bournemouth than RM and could be a good bench option to bolster the midfield.

BOURNEMOUTH:
Lloris
Trippier Toby Jan Davies
Dier Winks
Eriksen--Alli--Nkoudou
Kane
Vorm, Sanchez, KWP/Aurier, Sissoko, TOB, Son, Llorente

RM:
Lloris
Toby Sanchez Jan
Aurier---------------------Davies
Sissoko--Dier--Eriksen
Kane--Son
Vorm, Foyth, KWP/Trippier, Winks, TOB, Nkoudou, Llorente

With Real Madrid following up on the Tuesday and consequently completing his 3 match ban, Alli is a lock to playing against Bournemouth - regardless of whether we think he's merited of a place or not.

As @BringBack_leGin has alluded to, with a game Wednesday morning for Sanchez I wonder if Poch might look to deploy Dier in the back 3 and bring in Wanyama for some game time under his belt.

As for Aurier/Trippier, that's anyone's guess but personally I think he'll go Trippier against Bournemouth and Aurier against Madrid.

In which case, line up;

Lloris

Alderweireld Dier Vertonghen

Trippier Wanyama Winks Davies

Alli Eriksen

Kane

Interesting, although I wonder if he'll go 4 at the back, to free up an extra attacking player against a poor Bournemouth side?

Thank god some of you aren't actually in charge of our lineup or our team would be literal corpses by December. :dead:

So much of the lineup this weekend for me hinges on who is available. Bournemouth have been woeful but I think they've also underperformed. I can't see Howe tactically setting up his team effectively to defend but he's also had 2 weeks to plan as most of his team didn't pop out for internationals. May also mean they're out of form. Hope to get that Wembley PL cherry popped.

I like:
Lloris
Trippier-Foyth-Toby-Jan-KWP
Dier-Winks
Eriksen-Dele
Kane
Play a similar lineup, though not exact, to what we will play vs. Spam in the cup and then roll out our strongest 11 vs. Madrid and Liverpool. I'd like to see Foyth but I also wouldn't mind a back 4 and swapping him with GKN or Son up front. If Wanyama is back I swap him for Dier here for mins and test how he feels then make a call on him for Madrid or Pool.

You make an unnecessary statement like that and then go and choose 7 1st teamers who have started almost every game this season

No reason to change things unless Sanchez isn't ready after his game in Columbia on Wednesday.

This.

Aurier, Sanchez and Son in against Real Madrid to freshen things up (also feel Aurier and Sanchez better suited for that game and Trippier better to play against Bournemouth).

The statement is directed more towards the people whose contribution to this post every game is to say "our strongest XI have to play" and then make apocalytpic statement about what happens if we lose regardless of strength of upcoming schedule.

I also believe any rotation team should still be majority standard first team otherwise your rotation players get exposed heavily. But I'll take your point and leave it at that.

Ahhhh... Though that was also a horrible spelling, I finally understand what the hell BringBack_leGin was waffling about with Columbus in OP.
