We're terrible and Bruce Arena elected not to take one of our best players. Then he started a god awful player over Cameron twice in a row in 2 crucial games.
I haven't followed it. Who didn't Arena take? They looked absolute pants from what I saw.

We deserve this. MLS runs USSF and it costs us having any hope of a half way decent team because the league is fucking terrible. They got Klinsmann fired because he realized that and wouldnt select many players who the league is obsessed with. Funny enough the league does more to help CONMEBOL and other CONCACAF nations then it does for the US. It hurts the US. They dont develop American players. Our best players in the future are playing in Europe because they know they will not get any thing close to decent training in America. Klinsmann tried to change it and bring America to the 21st century and MLS was having none of it. Maybe now the USSF will split from MLS for good. Doubt it but one can hope.

Oh and I pray to fucking god this will finally fucking end the glue factory keepers we persist with and persisting with Michael Bradley every fucking game even though he is absolute trash.

Not good for FIFA with no USA at the World Cup, less TV revenue and sponsorship

Messi is the greatest of all time....unbelievable.
No excuse for this terrible US performance. Need total reform of USMNT.
Different coaching and a focus on the national team.

They had a good project going and MLS and Garber's feelings got hurt because Klinsmann rightfully criticized them. So they created alot of unrest. They were able to because they run USSF and also essentially control the soccer media in this country.

well they are more interested in US revenue for MLS owners than national team performance. what respectable coach is going to take the job of national coach to promote MLS revenues over performance?

There is our Belgium....Belgium has more players capped when playing for Tottenham, than any other non-Belgian club ever...

Watched Peru v Colombia game. Davinson Sanchez once again fucking brilliant. Ospina tried ever so hard to fuck up this country's WC chances once again, but Sanchez stood firm, was leading their defense out of trouble every single opportunity.
What a player we have in our hands...

Australia almost found a way to fuck it up, glad the coach is walking, he didn't start Mooy last night, and he's our best player by miles.

Sad to see USA fail, they're always good value at the World Cup and in the last couple of tournaments really looked like they'd made lrogresss as a footballing nation.

Delighted about Argentina, well done Messi. Undoubtedly the greatest of all time and in my opinion should be this years Ballon d'or, he's been consistently brilliant all year but has been in a below par Barcelona side and a below par Argentina side. It's meant to be a individual honour after all.

Not looking forward to playing Honduras in teh final play-off round and good luck to anyone from Aus who decides to travel with the team to San Pedro Sula. The players will have a hard enough time there themselves.

Best thing to ever happen to US soccer. Gulati & all his MLS cronies that have fucked up US soccer from the ground up will now hopefully get thrown out on their asses.
