I was being dim. Forget there was a new world. At least I can take comfort in knowing the sun and planets still revolve around the earth.
To be fair after last night most of us here in the US have opted to forget football exists here as well. :cautious:

Leave politics out of sport for Christ's sake.
Don't actually agree with that as an absolute rule. Some topics, that also have political impact, ought to be addressed in and through sport. Other battles are probably better left alone. For instance Catalonia's independence (as much as I completely support them if they want to become their own nation), is probably better left alone when visiting Madrid.

I’d agree with this. There is absolutely a place in sport for movements such as anti-homophobia, anti-racism, gender equality etc. I absolutely stand behind the NFL players in their current situation in America for example. But politics at the level of one nation seeking independence from another shouldn’t really play a part, and certainly not purely for the sake of us winding up Madrid fans.

Spurs fans will head to Plaza Mayor like we did in 2011. Loads of bars all round the edge, or most will probably do the usual and buy cans in a nearby offy and save some cash.

It was a scorcher last time and is meant to be mid-20s this week too so expecting more scenes like this:

Was a great day. Remember us singing "we want to stay here" and meaning it. Opposite to the pissing rain for the ac milan game.

You have plenty of time to do both.
The Irish Rover is close to the Bernabeu
where you are presumably going to watch the match.

Yeah, last time I spent the afternoon in the Plaza Mayor and then went to the Irish Rover a couple of hours before KO. Both were great fun.

Dortmund dropping points is as huge as that point gained in Madrid. Freedom for the Madrid at Wembley game whatever the result.

Just looking at the CL table...

Dortmund essentially have to win all the remaining 3 games & hope Spurs drop points to APOEL to qualify ahead.

We need to focus now on topping the table than worrying about finishing ahead of Dortmund

If teams are level is it head to head or goal diff ?

Well, here is the UEFA rules...

According to this, if group stage finishes today, we top the group, due to rule 17.01.D - That away goal today gives us the edge
