Because people like gossip?
I don't. Unlike the woman next door to me. Always chatting over the fence with your one at No. 4. Doesn't know she's sleeping with her Darren or she wouldn't bother. But that's none of my business.

It's such a stupid thing to suggest. Putting aside that Spurs would play ball and 'swap' Kane for Modric & Bale (something that firstly, all players would have to be on board with), the problem would then be wages.

Kane would be sorted - obviously. But it's pretty early here & I had a shit nights sleep, so I'm going to have a guess at how that conversation would go....

Bale: "Hey Daniel! Lovely to see you again! Yeah, yeah, the rash did clear up. Thanks for asking. Yeah, the barnet does do wonders for my image at Real Madrid. Yeah, I'm sure it would have suited you when you had hair in your younger days. Oh, what am I earning these days at Madrid? Well, Dan, I'm on around £350,000 a week, and we've got a pretty sweet life out there."

Modric (in a poor English accent): "Daniel, yes you're right!..it's very sunny in Spain. Yes, yes...like your place in Florida, but not quite so many nutters. Yes Daniel, it's a privilege to be playing with so many global stars of football & it's been amazing to win some serious trophies since I've been here. Salary? Oh yes, I'm pretty content with it to be honest. I'm earning around £180,000 a week for the privilege of playing for one of the most prestigious teams in the world and yep, it would be good to get a pay bump to get me closer to that Portuguese narcissist, but hey...for now I think we can just about cope. Yep, just means we can't eat out quite as much as we'd like." Super Noodles? No, unfortunately they are not readily available in Madrid."

Levy: "Hi chaps! Thanks for the info. I've got a surprise for you both. We've agreed the terms of RM and will be sending Harry out your way and guess what, you...yes you BOTH, get to come back to beautiful Tottenham! Aaannndd.....we're going to break our wage structure and pay you both £120,000 a week!. Did you ever see Swap Shop? No? Well, I guess you are both a little young for that, & for you Luca I'm not sure that Noel Edmonds would have been as much of a hit as he was here. Anyway, this is a bit like that so....what do you think?"

Bale/Modric: "Great! Sounds like a plan Dan. We've had a chat over a cuppa PG Tips & think that taking a massive pay cut and moving back to London where we can pay more taxes too, is a very attractive proposition"

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Just watched fifa17 ratings and Kane isn't in a top 50.. Ibra is ranked as seventh best and Özil is 12th, what the actual fuck?

RM will have to give us Bale for free and pay half his wages for the privilege to talk to Levy about Kane.

Couldn't give a fuck if Madrid offered 500 million. He is priceless and no amount of money would replace him because we just don't have the power to attract any striker close to his ability. If Spurs sold Harry Kane anytime soon, then I would seriously consider giving up with football. If we can't keep a player like Harry Kane ( Spurs through and through ) then what is the point. There is no need for us to sell anymore. Our club has moved on and building a world class stadium with an equally class team to match.

Heck no! We know it's fake news, but, for me, an old OV song comes to mind when I see these stories about Real coming for another one of ours. I'd rather be blind, crippled and crazy, somewhere pushing up daisies than to let Real break our hearts all over again. Lol

Contracted to 2022, so can't see him moving anywhere for at least 3 years (dependent on success) but obviously hope he says for life.

He's the club's talisman, an academy developed superstar, England captain...etc. I'd lose all faith in football/Spurs if he's ever sold when it isn't his idea to go.

I'd like to think he wants Shearer's records and we'll never sell him to another English club...so hopefully he's here for the long haul. That makes (slightly hopeful) sense to me, but time will tell.

Kane is priceless.

I would not swap him for anyone, he is our totem.

Centre forwards who can score a goal a game are like gold-dust nowadays especially with most teams being boring and playing one up top rather than a strike partnership.
