Pochettino is amazing in all ways but what do people make of his comments that clubs like Man City and Man Utd sign who they want when they want while Spurs sign who they can when they can?

Obviously this is true to a large extent but if you're Sanchez or Aurier who supposedly could have joined 'bigger clubs' are you left feeling a bit second choice? I’m sure he didn’t mean it but it seems to imply that all our signings are players we didn’t actually want.

Also seems to suggest that big clubs could come and take our players without too much trouble, have to wonder why he would say this to the press.

I think it's probably a case of we buy players with huge potential when the money boys are looking for established players who are ready to go. I'm sure our players understand that. The 'when we can' is more to do with when we are not blown out of the water in terms of transfer fee and wages.

I don't think it implies that at all.

New contract time for Poch Levy!

Doing wonders, him and Kane are irreplaceable.

Time to recognise him before he gets fed up with challenging against doped up rivals.

Levy should review our wage structure also in order to keep our stars and keep everyone feeling valued imo.

New stadium revenue should help with ffp.

I'm sure our wage ceiling will go up. That's the whole point of building a new stadium. We're never gonna be able to compete with the elite clubs though.

Wish he would have said more like "not once have I said he only joins clubs with the biggest budgets or that the harry kane team beat them without harry kane"

So glad Poch didnt let that pep comment go

Pep is such a dick

Same here, am damn happy that Poch has publicly declared his dislike towards the comment. Is incredibly rich coming from Pep too and there's only one manager who comes out of this looking disrespectful and silly.

It's like having one of us fans at the helm of the club, he defends us with such honour. Literally don't want to think of the state we'd currently be in if he wasn't appointed, we'd probably still have Adebayor, Kaboul, and Lennon on the books.

He's completely transformed us, within just 3 years. Poch is probably the greatest thing to happen to our club, since Nicholson.

I remember Brad Friedel saying the same thing about Poch when he first arrived at Spurs.

What I'm struggling with is....if we are a one-man team then why did he just give us £50m for another component of the team?

I don't think it'd be news to the press - isn't it just stating the obvious?
