It's so good to see he's also clearly developing as a manager and is creating new systems to help us adapt much more than when he first came in. Like some of our players it's a scary to think of what a coach he could become.

Liverpool is one of his few blind spots so far so I trust he's working one something for them as we speak.

Can't believe this guy is our manager, almost as important as his success is his human qualities - he seems an utterly great bloke. Given he's following an absolute wretch of a 'man' in Sherwood it has been such an immensely positive change for our club.

God... Sherwood was once our manager.. I've just thrown up in my mouth again..

I couldn't bring myself to a game the entire time he was in charge...

@BenPearceSpurs
#thfc Pochettino on his line-up in Madrid: "Some people close to us said, 'Can I be honest with you? When I saw the XI, what the f***?"...

@BenPearceSpurs
#thfc Pochettino: "Ten minutes after the end of the game, they said 'you are a genius!' I said 'ok thank you! But before I was very bad?'"

@BenPearceSpurs
#thfc Pochettino: "It's difficult to agree completely with the manager. Not too many people recognise 'I was wrong, the manager was right'."

Did one of those journos ask him if he'd like to manage England? Seriously just fuck off they're like 3 year olds, ridiculous questions ahead of a league game with Liverpool.

Can't believe Poch goes on the SC match thread before games. Brave man!

agree - very interesting reading but also a little nervous about it.

Didn't Glenn lose the england squad when a book came out after the 98 world cup that was a bit too indiscrete??

I don't think this is a good idea. Sort of airing dirty laundry in public and you don't know how this will go down in the dressing room. Kyle Walker and Mourinho will probably feel a right of reply also.

Yep, I whole heartedly agree. No need to air out this stuff.

Btw, I completely disagree with Poch on Dier. And I hope Poch is now starting to rethink as well. He is far better as a DM. He's been fantastic this season. I hope he stays with us next season but I think there will be a real risk once the book comes out and possibly with even more players. There was absolutely no need for this stuff to be aired out. Ugh. I dont know, maybe im going overboard here but what was he possibly thinking with this?!? Fucking hell, Poch!

Whys everyone shitting their knickers over nothing?
Well, I can't speak for anyone else personally I am just a drunk, pessimistic asshole so obviously I'd be shitting bricks over this:cautious:

Really though, i just dont think this was in any way necessary and airing out dirty laundry like this doesnt sit right.

He lost the England job because he said he believed that disabled people were being punished for sins in a past life or some bullshit.

Listen this may not cause any problems.But I’m really struggling to see the point right now or the timing.Its the sort of thing you do 5 years retired.Its impossible to see any benefit from it.

Agree. It's all very strange. As interesting as it is to read about, it's all a little bit too close for comfort at the moment as half of the "situations" that they're talking about are still pretty much ongoing.

Hmm first I’ve heard of Poch writing a book. Personally I think that should be left until a manager leaves or has been somewhere for years and won stuff. I hope there isn’t stuff in there that is going to piss off any players or Levy.

Also I’m not really sure of the word and I hate to say.But bringing out a book all about yourself called “brave new world” when you’ve yet to actually win a trophy.Is a little bit egotistical perhaps?

He hasn't written a book. It is a bit bizarre but it's by Balague, who I've learnt to largely ignore over the years. Cover looks almost self-published shite too. Random.
