Talking about 4-1s in a different context(Everton) Clive Allen scored 49 in a season, after today I reckon Kane could do that if we have good cup runs(does calendar year count?). Never thought we'd have a player capable of it though...
Shame we have to wait till 2025 to see if he catches greavsie :banghead:

I said it elsewhere but next Sat 28/10 is the exact same date that we beat Man U at Old Trafford by the score line 4-1 back in 1972 - 45 years ago.

Martin Peters scored all 4 that day - I was there - United had Charlton, Law, Best and a fair few other good players back then.

How much i have waited for this result. How did we become such a solid team, where is my old Tottenham!!!

I thought Dele showed great energy today, especially second half, back to his old ways, chasing down everything and being a real pain.

Thought Son was superb first half, it's the quickest i have ever seen him, he was so determined today and the perfect player in our counter play.... much like Dortmund.

And as someone else alluded too, Aurier loves when we score, look at him great to see.

I could give everyone a mention, but this is without some key players and we apparently have no squad depth. I still can't understand how Poch has managed to do this, he will be one of greatest managers ever.

Missed the game as was out with the family but caught the last 20 mins on the radio, I think it was dean Saunders co-commentating, he just couldn’t praise spurs, all he kept saying was how much credit Liverpool deserved for not giving up! We did win 4-1 didn’t we?!

They had a five minute spell around Salahs goal and forced a couple of saves when they were 4-1 down.

Think Poch deserves a lot of credit for his team selection today. He set us up perfectly to absorb the pressure from Liverpool and then to break with devastating effect.

Thing is under Poch he was unlucky not to make the PL team of the season. He may not be the quality required now for a Prem based CL team, but Klopp's mismanagement of his backline is as much if not more to blame than Lovrens inadequacies. His confidence is shot to bits because they are so woeful as a unit and they don't know if they are coming and going.

Yea, old Deano was probably tucking into his third bottle of Pinot Noir by that stage...

Not to dissimilar to Fazio. Suspect in one system and excels in another.

I know people have questioned Dele’s body language the last few games and I’m not saying that is wrong either but he looked delighted to score today. Thought he was awesome today.

Gutted to miss the match, but I had a better offer!

To be honest I was expecting us to lose or draw. Like someone else on here said, Liverpool were pretty much the one team and set of fans who couldn’t see how good we are as they kept on getting the best of us, and I didn’t see that changing.

Work is going to be fun tomorrow. Loads of cocky Liverpool fans to troll.

Right with ya there, I can’t fucking wait to get to work. The only team I’ve felt had is over the last couple of years but no more!
