The thing is we no longer have a 1st xi. Because of the improvements in certain squad players it’s almost impossible to pick 11 players.Along with ever changing systems we are now a squad not a team.Son has proved he is the pacy winger.
Almost impossible to believe that their are some situations I’d rather see sissoko over dembele. The only possible squad weak link is Nkoudou, but he may still come good. For me it’s:
1.CM possibly but if winks and Onomah and TOB keep on improving I’d hold fire.
2. I wouldnt trust Llorente in a long spell if Kane were injured.

I agree with everything apart from the last bit. Fifteen goals (no pens) last season in a struggling Swansea side suggest Llorente would do just fine.

With Poch maybe suggesting he sees Dier as a CB, Dembele's ongoing hip problems. I'd be all for Kondogbia.

I've made no secret of this before, but I believe he possesses everything we require of a CM.

He's labelled as a DM, whilst yes, he is a beast in this role, strong and great in the tackle, he is very adept at driving forward from deep in the mould of Dembele to put us on the front foot.

Closest player I've seen to a Dembele replacement, a player many of us believe is very important to the team and rightly so.

Kondogbia was a damn fine prospect at Monaco, lost his way somewhat at Inter (although to be fair Inter had a few management issues,) but he is starting to recover that early promise akin to his Monaco days.

Seven appearances for Valencia on loan 2 goals, 1 assist. Not too shabby from a Defence minded CM.

Saw him against Real Madrid, he bossed the Midfield.

Yes we have Wanyama and Winks, but as I've already stated, Dembele's not going on forever, Dier may find himself getting schooled more as a CB, and at still only 24, I see Kondogbia being a perfect possible acquisition. Beast of a player in there and with Poch's input could well see us smoothly cover the loss of Dembele when said time transpires.

Someone who would be attainable and who I’d like to see bought by us for the future is Kasper Dolberg.

I think he’d make a great understudy to Kane.

Let him stay at Ajax for the next year then bring him in.

Kante. HIm in front of our defence and we'd rarely let a goal in.

Would allow us to be even more attacking with the other mids having more license to get forward.

Really surprised at how many disagree with us buying arguably the best defensive mid in the league over the last two seasons.

Looking through our team I can't see us getting in a better keeper or centre backs. We have four good full backs and attacking mids are performing so well that Son's game time is limited. Naturally no point in looking for better than Kane.

With Dembele injured, surely Wanyama and Dier are the most open spots to find improvement on.

I'll take whoever Poch wants. I like many on here in the summer thought that the main way to improve our squad was to buy a pacy/tricky winger.

Instead we bought a new Centre back who has started nearly every game...

Who would have thought that buying Davidson Sanchez was going to improve the squad, the options, cover injuries and even improve the starting 11 in the way he has?

Whilst we all laud a creative attacking player, it wouldn't surprise me if instead Poch bought a defensive midfielder and we took another step up.

That's my thinking. Either a qualtiy defensive mid or a deep lying player who can dictate play.

Would have picked Modric but for his age.

I like the Pulisic suggestion actually

Given the US connection and thus the marketing potential, I can see Levy going for that too actually

If we're talking any player, i feel like we could use Sanchez. When we are playing against teams that sit deep, he would be ideal to break down defenses, he can contribute goals and his mentality would benefit our young squad.

Also, it would be hilarious to watch the gooners if it happened, but besides that he would still be a remarkable signing.

If he bought into Poch's work ethic, sure. I wouldn't want the sulky, can't be bothered version usually on display.
