I didn't care about the the game before hand.

I did care during it, as I always do. So I was pissed off. Not about losing a game of such minimal significance. But about letting vastly inferior opponents win. The sort of feeling you get about losing a board game with someone you don't like. You know it means nothing but still get cross if it feels wrong.

Now it's over, I don't care about it again.

West Ham official twitter is pretty hysterical you’d think they’d won the CL.Actually hope they get to final and lose won’t help their relegation battle one bit 4 extra games.

It's embarrassing. Calling them heroes and all that.

A few things.

People are referring to the league cup as a "major trophy" it isn't!

People saying it was "our best chance of a trophy and the only important thing is winning a trophy any trophy" - I hope you were very angry about us not picking a full strength side, if you were happy with the line up, you cannot make that point. As I said before I think we are more likely to win the league than any cup, as the randomness element of cup competitions is reduced.

Also, people moaning about, Poch and the players not caring, I hope you were at the game! The stadium was half empty because the fans didn't care either!!!

I do think however people are rightly annoyed by the manner of the defeat, irrespective of the competition, hopefully it will be the kick up the arse the players need to push them on over the next few games.

I was there. Thought it was a decent turn out actually..

My beef is this.. why did he not just play all the kids if he didn't want to progress? Why play some hybrid team? Either go for it or don't. That's all that wound me up.

West Ham landlords on verge of going bust – with millions more in public cash set be poured into London Stadium

The Mayor of London and Newham Council will move heaven and earth to avoid the humiliation of the Hammers being locked out of their ground or made homeless."

There is such a thing as karma. I dont feel so bad now...:ROFLMAO:

We've only won the league twice in our history, its much harder to win than a cup.

Don't think you get it. If you are one of the best teams in the country you will finish at or near the top of the league.

If you aren't, you won't, but you still have a chance of winning a cup.

Man City for example I would say are also more likely to win the PL then either the FA cup or the League Cup.

We've only won the league twice because we've rarely been one of the best teams in the county.

Based on the draw the semi-finalists will be Arsenal, Man United, Man City and Chelsea. Four big clubs, four clubs with a winning mentality, four clubs who despite all the guff about not wanting to take competitions seriously do when it matters most.

Once again we will be watching a rival lift silverware come the spring and one of them will use the League Cup success as a spring board for the rest of their season.

As I have said repeatedly on here, winning clubs have to actually win things.

Did u see the team that Arsenal put out against Norwich?
The team we put out last night was easily strong enough to win that match.

4 of our main rivals that will have at least 2 tough extra mid week games in the middle of CL re starting. While we have our feet up with no risk of injuries. Its interesting considering how much top teams have dominated competition that only 4 times have a team won league cup and gone on the win PL.Dont underestimate how much these 4 extra midweek games will take its toll.

I would 1,000,000% take a win at United and that defeat

It seemed like the game was a side show, like a training game. his subs were pre planne, no really tactical analysis of the opposition. just go out and play. Like all the eggs are in the United basket.

If thats the case and we win up there, fully justified IMO. anything less than that and it was just stupid to treat it with such sylvain distain
Bit if a silly gamble imo mourinho would attempt to win both so why not poch.

I’ve stopped sulking now.

Basically, if you put on two left backs, rest the keeper and striker, and withdraw the only striker, you’re going to struggle against a yolo dogshit relegation team.

Sorry, but poch did this against Dortmund as well last time, not this season. He throws games he can’t be arsed with. Coming to terms with this is the new reality

We probably would have been better off with fewer first framers to be honest. Better of with hungrier junior players.
Agree but that side he had out last night was a strong one better than what I thought he would go with, they have no excuses really hammers were finished at HT we simply gifted them confidence and the game.
