Not good news about Wanyama. Still, it will be good to have him fit and raring to go for the second half of the season.

Weird interview he says Rose and lamela are not available then at the end he says Rose could play.

"No, Erik is not on the list. He's doing well but still he's not available. After one year [out], I cannot say tomorrow, one week or one month. It depends on his evolution.

"It's the same process as Danny Rose, assessing him and trying every day to get the feelings. Then when he's ready I will let you know about that, but still he's not available."

You said last week that Danny Rose could start tomorrow. Is that still the case?
"Yes. We need to wait until tomorrow but in my head maybe there is the possibility for him to start the game tomorrow, yes."

I think he was still talking about lamela when he mentioned Rose. I initially read like you did but after reading the bit solely about Rose he must have just been talking about Erik.

think he meant its the same PROCESS, not the same situation i,e Rose is further along the process so should start.

I take it that they need to feel ready to compete as he says before. They need to be able to confidently play knowing they have recovered completely

Got to learn a lesson from this. Time and time again Poch has left Kane on the pitch when the game is won and you can see he's flogged his guts out. That Wembley pitch especially is sapping. A few of us said in the match thread he should take him off before he got injured because you could see he'd run himself ragged and was on empty. It wasn't a surprise at all what happened.

As someone pointed out though, he (Kane) was taken off in a few games earlier and Poch was admonished for taking off our star man on 2 goals.

Anyway the injury seems minor as it appears he could play with an element of risk.

Don't think Poch could win whatever he did. Took him off a few times when on 2 goals and people slated him for preventing Harry from getting his hatrick.

Anyway good news is it seems he is pretty much able to play but with risk.

A minor injury situation like that will be evolving on a daily basis, I would say he will be fit for Wednesday and maybe even worth a place on the bench tomorrow, and good for 20 minutes at 0-0... (although I am sure Poch will take zero risk with him)

I imagine Mourinho will still be cautious in his approach and Lukaku always shit's himself against Jan and Toby, until Jan's charity last season he was on a fat zero against them.

Beyond this we know that Harry wants to play every minute as though he is tired the opposition are at their most vulnerable in the last ten minutes or so of Premier League games ... we all know how many goals are scored in the last few minutes/added on time

And yet on MOTD about 3 weeks ago they had a whole section on whether Pochettino was being unfair by always taking Kane off when he's on a hattrick :D

Lesson being: hire a medical professional who can predict an injury happening before it occurs?

You really think Poch should take pointers for his coaching decisions from MOTD when he has SC’s match chat to lean on?
