I really don't want to be right on this, as we need a proper alternative for if Harry is out for a stretch.

But I am.

Seriously, beyond being prepared to sit on the bench wtf does he bring to the party
In his defense, he's got a quality touch, good vision, powerful and accurate in the air, great at knock-downs. But to play this guy we would have to compromise too much of our game imo to focus on him.

He's too limited for what we need.

I would rather we had bought a young, dynamic prospect and just used sonny as Kane's deputy 'cause at least poch would be able to mould another gem in Kane's image for the coming seasons.

This acquisition never made any sense to me whatsoever.

Now he's here, though, we have to figure out how to get the best out of him.

Still think he will get some important goals for us this season. Personally I would have started him and brought Son on against tired legs.

messed up another transfer window in August....
we all know we needed pace @JJetset anticipated we would get pace but we went with a statue instead and no surprise, when we need goals due to Kane not firing or injury - we are struggling again...
we just never learn and until we do we will be the nearly men.
look at Man U they bring Martial off the bench, still had Mata sitting there too, we bring Llorente on - a washed up 32 year old who a statue would look better.
Yes he done well at Swansea but they lump it into the box, we don't!

Yes because we were so much more effective with the pacey Son up front.

Judging by the showings so far, Janssen has actually been more effective at holding the ball up.

It's looking like another squad issue we need to sort out in the summer, possibly even January if Kane picks up another knock.

He's done ok so far for us.

Having said that, his aerial ability from long balls, goal kicks etc has been poor.

I expected better.

(a) He has had a poor pre-season and limited game time so far.
(b) He has played much better than all your knee-jerk reactions suggest.
(c) To get the best out of him, we need to play a different style - which, aside from Madrid away, we haven't yet done.
(d) Name another centre forward who we should have bought instead, who was actually a realistic target.

I'm surprised Son and Llorente were not on the pitch at the same time.

On their own we are lacking but in theory have complimentary qualities.

I would’ve been tempted to go for Wood who is now at Burnley. Has a bit of everything, works hard etc
