Don't think we're resigned to the fact he'll leave. Just that we realise there is a possibility he may leave in the future unless we a) start winning major trophies and b) increase our wage structure to match the biggest clubs. So far we have done neither.

He's going nowhere...

Yes.

Once he is old he will go to USA or China and get some well deserved money.

All depends on Levy's ambition once we're in the new stadium.

Gates and marketing have all been the excuses in the past for not being able to compete financially and now it's all coming to fruition.

Time for our glorious leader to back-up his promises.
We have the sixth highest turnover, we pay the sixth highest wages.

  • 67% of Chelsea's turnover goes on wages.
  • 55% of Arsenal's
  • 69% of Liverpools
  • 51% of Man City's
  • 45% of Man Utd's
  • 48% of ours
Where has our ambition / financial backing lacked so far?

Don't think it's a yes or no answer, there are too many variables involved.

Whether RM want to pay for our stadium, whether Danny is prepared to give the him the kind of money he can earn at a top club & money to build a team capable of really taking on the best & not just doing a job on them & Harry himself & whether he real wants to be sure of winning trophies.

I think a lot will depend on where we are at the end of the season. If we can win a trophy & look like we're going to do it on a regular basis & he's happy in himself he could well stay. If we fall away & it doesn't look as if we're really going to be a top side he could well decide RM is the better option.

Whether Danny realises or not I'm not sure, but he has a unique opportunity to help build something we've not had for a good 30 or 40 years & that is to build a really, really top side. One that's capable of taking on the best not just here, but in Europe as well. The nucleus is there & Harry is part of that, but we need to keep adding quality into the mix until they're good enough to go to places like RM or Barca & have them worry about us & not simply expect to beat us. We did a job on RM on Tues true, but they still think they missed out & fully expect they'll put it right at Wembley & we need them to be worried about playing us at Wembley or the new WHL.

"All depends on Levy's ambition once we're in the new stadium."

It's implicit in that phrase.

If I'm wrong then prove it, tell me that, like me, you are happy with the levels of ambition Levy shows and feel he will continue to be ambitious enough.

You see that as confrontational? You have lived a sheltered life :D.

True that!

'Will Big Brother ever die?'
'Of course not. How could he die? Next question.'

Read his last 100 posts and tell me his name isn't Bringback 'reads far too much into things being said' leGin and then judge who's sheltered.

I'm actually a disciple of Levy (the proof you are asking for is in my previous posts), but it still remains to be seen if our stadium plans and the extra revenue it brings can match the forever growing resources of Chelsea and the Manchester clubs.

If it doesn't; will Levy be willing to increase that wages to revenue % to keep our best players? It's a question that can only be answered one way or another.

Now, calm down mate. Have a sandwich.

I'm very calm but thank you for your concern. You're a nice boy aren't you.

And as for my last 100 or so posts or whatever, nothing confrontational in there (though please report to the mods anything you feel is so I can receive my rightful warning), I just don't mince my words when I feel someone is talking nonsense. I genuinely apologise if I've hurt your feelings chappy, I'll endeavour to sugar coat things for you specifically in future. :)

It is possible but not probably he will stay his whole career with us in my opinion.

but there is no way we are selling him before we move in that stadium.

Can't remember if i said it in this thread or another but having spent circa £650 million Levy, will not want us to start our season in our spanking new shiny stadium with everyone feeling depressed.

My sense is that Kane himself will want to play in the New White Hart Lane too.

In short Mr Perez at RM can go and do one!!

BBC even getting on the Kane to Madrid bandwagon now, I pasted a few sections

http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41684602

Harry Kane: Is the Tottenham striker a Real Madrid Galactico in the making?

"In Spain, we don't consider him in the top 10 world-class players because he has only been playing a couple of years and is only playing at Tottenham, who are not in the Champions League semi-finals or final," Juan Castro, a football journalist at Madrid-based sports newspaper Marca, said.

The Londoner signed a reported £100,000-a-week contract last year to keep him tied to Spurs until 2022, but former England defender Danny Mills says Kane's future is not about money.

"Harry has got where he is today because he is ambitious and because he wants to improve," BBC Radio 5 live analyst Mills said.

"He is going to want to win trophies and at the end of his career he wants to say 'I won the Champions League and I won this amount of titles'. That's the pull. That's why he will leave."
