Insane performance, madness to think this time last year Trips and Davies weren't even our first choice, now there bossing it against Real Madrid.

When I saw Trippier in the starting XI I started warming up the lube and prepared for a painful bumming. Well now I've repackaged and sent it off to Casilla. Poor bloke must be in pain having not prepared properly....

I thought our defence was superb tonight. Trips also put in a few brilliant crosses so gets my vote.

Dele was back to the superstar he is tonight. Best I've ever seen Trippier play considering opponent. Dier was fantastic. Vertonghen was class as always and Sanchez looks a world class defender in the making, what a signing.

Phenomenal performance by all the team and result. Not that we'll win it but play like that and we could go quite far in the CL this season. Exciting times post February, well done Poch.

Tongue in cheek or not, this says it all about many Spurs fans here - Trippier has never been as much of a liability as made out by some on here and I certainly had no qualms of him not only starting tonight but competing and enhancing our play as evidenced by the opening goal.

Thought Vertonghen was on another level tonight. Everyone played well but for me, he was the MOTM.
He's been a class above all season. My player of the season so far consistently 8, 9 out of ten in every match

Trippier motm for me amazing especially in the first half.
But apparently Marcelo will
tear him a new one because he can’t defend :D

Trippier and Vertonghen were different gravy. Winks, Alli, Sanchez, Dier, Davies, Eriksen, Kane were all very good.

It doesn't matter now, but Sissoko was laughably poor.

Great result, lets use it as a springboard. It should do wonders for this teams self confidence.

Roll on Palace.

Big credit has to be given to

Dier - changed position early on and activated full on beast mode incredible!!

Sanchez - is also fully showing why we paid what we paid he’s been excellent.

Winks - has ran the midfield twice against Madrid in the last month or so!

We just beat Real Madrid in the CL- and deservedly so.

Every single player gets a 10.

Poch gets a 10.

Heck, you can all have a 10 as well.

Sometimes this kickball malarkey is alright isn't it?

We need to maintain that level of passion and intensity for the rest of the season, Poch will do all he can to make sure they keep that level up. Dier is always at his best when he shows passion and desire and he was back to his passionate best. (maybe Mouss could've toned it down a bit though :cautious:)

Great stuff all round.

Dele reminding everyone, including some Spurs fans truth be told, that he is the best young player in Europe. He might be petulant and frustrating at times, but his football intelligence/IQ/whatever is the best in the league I would argue. His knowledge of where to move and when to do it is such a joy to watch. He reads the play a good 5 seconds before every other player and his anticipation almost seems as though it's an eerie 6th sense at times.

Can't fault anyone though. What a night!

Sissoko gets a 5. Sorry. He is so frustrating.

Room for improvement. A room about the size of the Royal Albert Hall.

Just seen that he averages 1 assist every 2 games this season in the PL and league cup and an assist every game in the CL!!

Lads, lads... Trippier was fantastic tonight. I've never been his fan, but tonight he was MOTFM, against Real Madrid, that's just insanely awesome.
