Sissoko gets a 5. Sorry. He is so frustrating.

Room for improvement. A room about the size of the Royal Albert Hall.

Don't be sorry. He wasn't very good at all tonight, I agree.

But being in the team that beat Madrid and has me feeling this awesome gets him a 10 in my book.

Dier what a player to have in the squad. No wonder Man Utd were sniffing around for so long.

The perfect jack of all trades than can be used in a crisis. Better in defense than Midfield imo

MOM Dele and Trippier (joint)

Anyone really, Dele, Eriksen, Trippier etc but in the end went for Winks, I know he came off but he proper ran the midfield against Modric and Kroos.

To be honest thought I could flip a coin and I would be happy with whoever got it.

How many sides do your coins have?!

Dele for the 2 goals, Winks for THAT pass, Trippier for THAT cross, Hugo got those saves, the whole defence for numerous clearances and blocks, Kane for putting a serious shift in with one hamstring.

So basically everyone + Poch for being a fucking mastermind!!!

COYS amazing!!

10 out of 10 for everyone bar Sissoko. Fuck me he really is stealing a living as a footballer. Amazing night though. So proud to be a Spurs fan right now. Gutted I wasn't at Wembley on a night like that.

Non spurs related, but how could Benzema still be the starting striker for such a big club like Real Madrid? He is even worse than mid-table teams' striker such as Chicharito

(Kiko casilla is also a nightmare, but he is a second-choice goalkeeper)

All good obviously but Sanchez and Wink for age and experience were immense. Shout to Diet aswell when msny starting to doubt him...and Trips had a great game too.

Edit: The typos. You do it I can't be arsed.

Remember back in the day when we would debate whether Bale was a left back of attacking midfielder? The answer eventually was very obvious. Can we apply that same conundrum to Dier? Is he a CB or a DM? Two years ago I would’ve said DM. But based on what we are seeing this year, he looks so much better at CB. Having the flexibility is great, but maybe Poch can persuade him to ply his trade as a CB moving forward.

Lloris — 8 (he was so brave tonight and super solid)

Tripps - 8 (what a stud tonight. Like others I was worried about his defensive attributes against a team like this, but he killed it)
Davies - 8 (like Lloris very brave. Clearly hobbled but carried on. Also was often isolated on the left. But did so well)

Toby - 7 (did well for the time he was on. Sad to see he’s hurt)
Sanchez - 8 (another smooth, powerful performance from a guy who could really be the next Ledley)
Dier - 9 (showed how mature he is tonight. And also what a leader he can be.)
Jan - 8 (poised, and just about perfect)

Winks - 7 (kept things tidy, organized and progressive. And belays his years and lack of experience. U sorta wonder just how good he could become, considering he’s started less than twenty professional games!)
Sissoko - 6 (defensively did well. Not so good offensively. Stuck to it, and that’s all that counts)
Eriksen - 7 (was solid and smart, without having to be spectacular. Lovely finish)

Alli - 8 (would’ve been a 9, but minus the goal in the first half he was good, but not great. Second half he was great)
Harry - 8 (he occupied their back line and gave them fits. Set up the third to perfection)

Dembele - 7 (we laugh about him winding up Ramos. But he bought passion into the game, and held on to the ball well, when we really needed to keep possession)

Spectacular result and well played all around. Funnily enough, I felt like we almost played a bit better away to Madrid, minus the goalscoring intent.

Don't remember Walker ever having as good a game as Trippier did tonight. Great game for Winks as well and many other players.

The back 5 were all superb, all 6 that played there, thought davies was very good, real had no joy down his side at all. Great to see eriksen put in a fantastic performance after having an off day in the away game. Alli back with a bang, this has been coming after a slow start to the season from him. Winks brilliant again. By his very high standards Kane not as sharp as normal, but that pass for the beautiful third goal was insanely good and worked hard as always. Pretty much everyone bar sissoko played well, I would say though he has been better lately so let's call it an off day. Very hard to pick motm, but I went for Eriksen, just a class act and works his bollocks off, sweet goal too.

Lloris - 8 - made some crucial saves and distribution was good.
Toby - 7 - okay until subbed.
Sanchez - 8 - assured defending
Verts - 8 - great game frmo start to finish
Trippier - 9 - excellent passing
Davies - 8 - very steady
Dier - 8 - great team player
Winks - 8 - controlled the middle of the pitch, superb awareness to set up the goal
Dele - 8 - scored 2, should've had 3. great effort for 90 mins
Eriksen - stepped up when we needed him to when talisman Kane went off. cool finish.
Kane - 8 - great all round play
Sissoko - 5 - pants
Dembele - 6 - good effort, showed his class but erratic
Llorente - 6 - cumbersome, come back janssen all is forgiven

Tongue in cheek or not, this says it all about many Spurs fans here - Trippier has never been as much of a liability as made out by some on here and I certainly had no qualms of him not only starting tonight but competing and enhancing our play as evidenced by the opening goal.
I had the same thought when I saw he was in the line-up for 2 reasons, 1 - Aurier did brilliantly penalty aside in the away leg. 2 - in the CL vs Monaco especially last year trippier got very exposed especially 1 v 1, I think the fact we aren’t playing such a high line and high pressing in the CL Time time around and a back 5 not 4 has hugely helped him as we always knew he had quality on the ball.

Completely agree. Sometimes you have to call a spade a spade. He’s certainly been better this year but his touch is just so shit and not even every now and then, literally 90% of the time, one of his first touches was pretty much a 10 yard fucking pass, BUT you have to realise he does actually offer a lot as a player most off the ball actually, he’s a very good athlete, he’s quite fast, very powerful, he fouls a bit but also makes a lot of tackles and blocks and battles well for balls, off the ball he is very good, also his driving runs forward with the ball are very useful to release pressure, if we’d put on a weaker but more technical player like another winks that would’ve meant our balance wouldn’t have been as good. Also there’s a reason why he gets played a lot for France and also why poch plays him quite a bit, with the ball, agreed, not great and much room for improvement but he still offers a lot. I’d give him a 5-6 tonight.

Talking of Eriksen, a nice symbolic moment when he scored the goal with Modric being the only Madrid player trying to stop him. A bit like Eriksen showing him that he is no longer missed. I almost felt sorry for Modric at that point !

I don't begrudge either of Bale or Modric for leaving but nice to see these players who moved to "big" teams on the wrong end of a beating from Spurs!

We have come a long way the last few seasons
