Verts for me, was a different level tonight and held it all together when Toby came off. Made some vital blocks as well

Sissoko for his miscued shot which put Kane in. It was actually a cunningly disguised pass, this is the kind of thing the SC footballing intelligentsia miss, time after time after time. Fucking genius of a player :D

Just woke up and had to check my phone just to make sure that wemebely actually happened last night....

So proud of the entire team. We absolutely bossed them and were incredible from start to finish.

Still lost for words a little

I love this team.

Trippier was motm for me as 2 years ago if anyone would have said he could have put in a performance like that against Real I wouldn't have even understood how to answer the question without being disrespectful.

That being said every player was important in Thier own right and we came together to beat them as a team.

I have to say i think Dier has been immense the last two games, against United he was a beast (the goal was a catalogue of errors that day by all three of our CBs). I have been very critical of him from the start of the season. But i think yesterday and against United he was an absolute leader out there, really commanding performances.

It seems it has really found his hunger out there again and because of his physical statue, when he is up for it, he is a formidable physical presence for us. Eating a bit of humble pie here. Bet well played Dier, really standing up and being counted out there.

Also, anyone else lose their shit when at 3-1 I think it was Modric on the edge of the area took a huge dive the little fucking shitbag, if he’d won a free kick from that which they’d scored and got back into the game with 10 mins to go I’d have been threadders! Lost a lot of respect for him after that.

I have to say at CB he’s improved hugely, past seasons he’s had an error or 2 in him or looked a bit slow etc but I’ve barely noticed him when he’s played there recently just like with Sanchez Toby and jan which is the sign of a top top defender. He’s been okay in midfield also.

I think a lot of his best football is 'by accident'...in the second half there was a moment where a ball was passed to him. Sissoko deliberately mis-controlled it so it ricocheted off both shins into the path of his run...amazing! :D

A&C thinks Dier is one of the best players at the club and has said so on more than one occasion.

A&C also knows that this third person stuff gets on one or two people's tits, but I can't remember who exactly (plays the senile card)

Which is why A&C is doing it :p

It weren't no accident, that's how genius he is :)

I actually chatted briefly with Sissoko after the game. His comment was along the lines of "Yes, I enjoyed being out there tonight. The calibre of the opponent was average, but the grass was very green and tight, and the conditions perfect for me to do my running. Only a shame that there was this round ball also on the pitch all the time, but I think I didn't let it mess me up too much".

Trippier MOTM.

Dele best game of the season, Winks, Kane and Vertonghen all special.

Everyone else was a solid 8.5/10.

Sanchez, Trippier, Winks, and Delle are a pretty enviable set of young players to have. My MOTM would probably be Sanchez, but they were all excellent.

Can't decide on a single player, they were all fantastic so I am going to opt for the ref... oh wait, no he was typically shite and inconsistent.

Beers and curry and beating RM in the CL.
Cant¡'t see at the moment how it can get any better. Shame it wasn't the final.

Lloris .........8+ .....Faultless.Not even foot faults.
Sanchez.....8+......21 going on 30.
Tobes.........8+......Couldn't take the heat but who needs him.
Verts...........8+......Stepped up again.
Beginning to see a pattern here
Tripps.........8+......Wrong size shape and speed for a fullback. Clearly broken the mold.
Dier.............8+......Versatility shines forth. Good game, good game.
Davies........8+......Thought so. Welshness is the only problem I have with him.
Winks.........8+.......Told him to play it down while Zidane was watching. Doh.
Sissy...........8+.......Make the most of my euphoria. Born entertainer but not always in a good way.
Eriksen.......8+.......Understated and undetected by RM for most of the game.
Dele...........8+.......My MOM in a crowded field. Movement, flair playing with a smile. Love this boy.
HarryK.......You guessed it 8+........Excellent game and didn't draw attention to himself by scoring.

Poch...........Yep you've got it. Inspirational and down to earth simultaneously. I bet he's quietly ecstatic this morning.

Dembele......Slightly off his head again (eye gouge incident) Bit worried for him.
Llorente........Doesn't do much but does it strongly.

Recruiting strikers is not our strong point. But who cares today,.

Yeah I thought Trippier and Alli had maybe their best games for us. The three centre backs were all individually very good when called upon. Kane deserves credit, he wasn't firing on all cylinders but put in a shift and was bullying their defence.

The first and third goals were both very nice, fairly simple things executed to perfection.
