I'm surprised you even go to the Lane. Unless, of course, it's to find more things to moan about.
A straight question..... Do you ever see anything positive in your life?

it's nothing to do with moaning, or not seeing positives, it's about being objective. West Ham performance? Shite. United, good. Real? Brilliant. It's a mixed back. Where do you disagree and why?

Seen the first half of either Swansea, Burnley, or Bournemouth this season? Nope, didn't think so. We need to start these games more aggressively and positively. Disagree? Why?

Course I'll be there in good time tomorrow, trying to explain to my eleven year old why we don't register any shots on target in the first half against these park the bus teams. But it's hard...

Why is it hard? If they've parked the bus, then its pretty obvious why.
Don't you think it's a bit unrealistic or asking too much to be smashing teams to pieces in every single game?

I agree with you on these games but I don't necessarily highlight them. Why do you not emphasise the good points as well. I can never say I see that in your posts.
When I see you've posted my first thought is " should I read this or not, because it's always negative" I have even contemplated putting you on ignore it's that depressing.

I suppose I'm fortunate that I look for the good in things in life and wash over the worse.
Chill out and look for the good things, there are teams and people far worse off then we Spurs supporters.
I say this having had cancer twice and seen our team relegated and play some really turgid football.

Now is a time for celebrating what we are becoming, not bemoaning every poor game or bad decision.
Judging by your moniker you were around back when we were great before same as I was. I think we're on our way back to those heights. Try and enjoy the ride buddy.

You're totally right, of course- but why?!? Why can't they just say "wow- fair play to Spurs- what's happening there is unbelievable."

WHY MUST THEY (almost) ALWAYS SLAG US OFF?!?!? ESPECIALLY the tv guys- they're the fucking WORST. You should've seen the pregame talk on NBC (US television) talking about Spurs/Madrid-- the entire game was called "Harry Kane's audition for Real's starting number 9 spot"! Like as if the game was being played in order that Zinedine could best work out precisely where Harry'd be playing when alongside Ronaldo...I wouldn't have been surprised if one of these so-called "commentators" didn't speculate as to whether or not Real Madrid's official team tailor would be in attendance in order to better ascertain Kane's precise shirt size so that- upon Harry's introduction day in Madrid's center square- the kit would be just the way Perez and co. preferred it!

I wanted to vomit!

I mean what the HELL?!?!? Why not just enjoy it?!? Isn't the whole Chelsea/Man U/Man City/Ars*nal/Liverpool being the only clubs worth a damn in England-thing getting a bit boring?!? Is it that hard to praise a (relative, at least as far as top-flight European football goes) newcomer? I'm sorry, I just don't get it; I mean fuck me, how many times can you write/say/vomit out the same narrative before boring even yourself?!?

Sorry for the rant- I just am amazed at the lack of respect/understanding/admiration for what's going on at our club. Methinks there's something else at play, as it just doesn't make sense.

Sssh A&C might hear you :D

Don't dumb the debate. A comfortable victory against a bus parker, say a two goal margin, with perhaps even a goal in the first half? Then again you knew that, you were just being... yourself.

There you go bringing emotion into it again. I'm not interested in debating attitudes towards life, just in objective debate with fellow fans on the good bad and ugly of following our Club. You conveniently brush out what doesn't fit your narrative, so just stick me on ignore.

Before you do, I actually enjoyed the occasion today. Blue sky, the always moving tribute to the fallen, another good crowd including the superb Palace following, and plenty of goal mouth incident. Even an unlikely hero. The first half was a bit brighter, just the final ball lacking. Unlike most, im always thrilled to see Korean fans, especially proud when Son does well, after living there for four years.

But there are buts, and I like discussing them too. Bar Liverpool and our friend Lovren, we haven't scored a first half goal in the Prem at home this season, and have generally been over deliberate in possession. It almost looks like a dull tactic to conserve energy and perhaps draw the opposition out, I dunno?

Enjoy MOTD... and have a good week.

Well that's just football I'm afraid, it's not dumbing the debate...you're either deluded or just not very bright if you expect easy victories against all teams, even the bus parkers.

the only way to get an easy win against bus parkers is to get an early lead.

Indeed which isn't easy. The difference we have opposed to the likes of Pool and Arse is that they are defensively weaker and bus parking managers will focus on that and in turn take more offensive chances, leaving them exposed. against us they literally just want to dig in for the first 30 minutes at least.

Firstly, you started with the insults Cliff, 'Dont dumb the debate, You were just being...yourself'
Secondly, its not an insult, its an opinion, anyone over expecting is either deluded or not very bright.
I just find it amazing that people still wanna dig around for things to have a moan about, you said yourself that Palace were excellent, they defended really well...but in the end we had too much, even with a heavily depleted and visibly knackered team.

Cliff Jones isn't happy unless he's moaning, thought everyone knew that.
I'm just pissed off (as I said three years ago) that he uses 'Cliff Jones' as his user name. Brilliant, positive, expressive, ebullient footballer. Negative, sometimes pure downright nasty, woe-is-me, poster.

I am sorry you dont get any emotions when you watch Spurs. It has always been emotional for me. Some good, some bad, some even sensational but others devastating. But you watch how you want, I will just ignore your comments from now on.

More a case of digging in until the opportunity arises to attack, but not in force, always leaving enough men back to make a return counter attack not open enough.

It honestly baffles me why he even continues to watch us tbh.

I don't get emotions when watching my club? I said I don't have any interest in discussing attitudes to life with you on here. And still don't.

Nasty, woe is me, pissed off? You've lost your way a bit there.

I spose you have more on an excuse for being detached from reality down there, compared to more local fans who watch in their bedrooms rather than make an effort to support the team, eh Shady?

All the StHs around me now are saying the same thing, it's not moaning , it's acknowledging the issue exists and wondering, looking for signs, of Poch and certain players innovating to get our noses in front in first halves. It's called talking about football, not just sitting there playing on whatsapp.

It's also about not taking yourself too seriously.

Otherwise known as unecessary negativity and moaning, funny how there's other people who have noticed it as well...don't just take my word for it though Cliff ;)
