Think the Dembele sub was due to Winks tweaking his ankle in 1st half. Dembele was good on the ball, but he needs a 2nd deep cm with him as his movement is lacking off the ball. Really obvious after watching how often Winks makes himself available to receive a simple pass.

End of the day a win is a win and all teams up top have crappy 1-0 wins as you can’t be world beaters every match.

We do need to look at strengthening squad though in attacking areas as just being without Dele made us look short up top.

If Lamela was available might be a different story but depends on if he is going to become available.

Son could then be pushed up top, although may need another option there as Llorente hasn’t really impressed too much so far.

I don’t think Sissoko should be relied upon as attacking option, should only be used as engine room muscle.

And KWP needs to be integrated into first team picture.

Lost all of our rhythm when Winks went off but ground out a result. A lot of players off the pace today but with luck we'll pull a load out of the Internationals and have a re-group.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino: "It was a tough game for us after Wednesday. Palace were compact, narrow and playing on the counter attack. We had the possession but not many chances. They were fresh after one week to prepare for the game. We had a few problems after the Madrid game and that's why I'm so happy with the victory. In the end though I'm very pleased with an important three points.

"I'm so happy for the different players who came in, people like Paolo (Gazzaniga) who played fantastically well. He is an unbelievable option to have as a keeper and I'm really happy for him and his family that he performed like that.

"It was always going to be a challenge today but it means a lot to pick up the three points. It's a massive achievement for us to take us into the international break."

He's already got a ready made song

Pardon me boys, is that the Gazzaniga Choo Choo?
(Yes yes, shirt 22)
Boy,he's taken his time
(Can you afford to to trust the Gazzaniga Choo Choo?)
Yes I've taken a shine
(3rd. choice but he's fine))

Glenn Miller hit from 1941 and popular through the 40's and 50's

I've politically corrected the lyrics.

Rose and Verts were my standouts today. Sanchez and Dier were good too, and Winks for his first half. Precious 3 points we got today while making full use of our stretched squad.

Spurs didn't play well, yes .... but CP parked the bus. Spurs had 70 % possession. Yes, I know, possession isn't everything but CP did not come to play and thus did not deserve a point really.
That is so not true, Palace could of had 2 goals and they put us under a lot of pressure in the second half.
