Just as with Liverpool a decade or more ago, it would do them well to get over themselves and accept a few years of proper restructuring, even if the cost was not having the mythical title challenges (that never materialise anyway) for a while. But they would, as you say, go ape-shit at the idea - just as the Mickeys would have.
The few months Liverpool had Hodgson as boss come to mind. Don't think their fans could've been less happy with that. :ROFLMAO:

"Think about Spurs paying us money for this joker. He was about our 5th choice. He was behind Stuart Taylor FFS, who is about 50 years old. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. He’s so crap."

Saintsweb yesterday...

"Forster again...there we go."

"I've officially had enough now. I want Forster dropped, preferably on a permanent basis."

Saintsweb today...

"Great save. Forster would never have gone down to save that."

"Another good save from Gazza that FF would have had trouble with."

"Having a cracking game. 3 decent saves now."

"Gazza is a fine keeper and I can't believe we let him go."

Mind you, after we got Poch, some of them were crowing about how they had ended up with the better deal after getting Koeman.... Hmmm.

Their fans would go fucking ape shit. Let's be honest, he's one of the best managers in the league judging by the last 1.5 seasons. Easily the best English manager.

However, he isn't fashionable. No way would they want him coming in.

I know. It would be hilarious to see their reaction though!

Since this thread is for everything I try my luck here.

Anyone know when they will confirm tv-schedules for February? Liverpool play Tuesday 30.january and Spurs the 31st. Do you think they will schedule Liverpool - Tottenham for Sunday 4th of February or can it still be a Saturday game?

The approximate date for confirmation is the 12th of December. But this is very approximate - it's regularly a week or so either side of that date, and the last lot were three weeks late because of arguments between the broadcasters, clubs and other parties. The match could be any time between 12.30 on the Saturday and 8pm on the Monday, with just about the only guarantee being that 3pm on Saturday is massively unlikely.

Arsenal Mania

1st 2 posts are opening post to the thread, I left out a bit on past matches.

I can't say I'm particularly confident in a win, but with us, you just never know what's going to happen in matches. We might slaughter them, we might capitulate, we might be evenly matched... I haven't a clue. Let's hope for the best...

Expected Team
Wenger changed things up big time against City, but I expect we'll see our "standard" team for this one. That means...

Cech
Koscielny - Per - Monreal
Bellerin - Ramsey - Xhaka - Kolasinac
Özil - Alexis
Lacazette
I'd personally like to see Wilshere in the mix though, either replacing one of Özil/Alexis or a defender (changing the formation to a 4-2-3-1).

Rant
On a serious note, we really, really need to win this. We're being taken less and less seriously by rival fans and pundits; Tottenham fans are actually laughing and confident going into this game. It's embarrassing for us, a club that's supposed to be in the thick of the the title fight, and the worst part is they're kind of right. We've been so poor against the top 6 sides in the past few seasons that we're relieved by draws. We're the only top 6 side that hasn't been a serious contender for a major trophy in the past 5 years. The least we can do is show our historical rivals up at our home ground on Saturday to save face. We're heading into one of the most pivotal transfer windows in the club's history imo, and we need to show good players that we're a side still capable of achieving big things.

Let's win this, f*ck Spurs.

They could be without Alderweireld and Vertonghen for this.
Luckily for them we’ll be without Lacazette.

Nketiah to score the winner!
Will the white Harry Kane score?

Cech
Bellerin Koscielny Monreal Kolasinac
Wilshere Xhaka Elneny
Ramsey
Welbeck Lacazette

We can't allow Özil & Alexis to disrupt our season anymore, they either sign contracts or get dropped. Enough is enough now.

Totally get where you're coming from. Problem with your particular formation is (a)Wilshere will be injured after 20mins (b) Wellbeck will be injured after 30 mins (c) Elneny cannot play professional football
Yip but I like the idea of you being down to 9 men after 30 minutes

Someone isn't a Mike Dean fan
Lets hope Mike Dean bumps into an escaped psychopathic axe murderer before the game.

Hmm not loving the idea of an early morning(here) Mike Dean officiated sh*t show. It was going to be a tough game regardless but I do so hate when Wenger is given officiating excuses that distract from his awful management and I've no doubt that Dean will produce at least one. Would be a miracle to win this on current form.

Online Gooner

This forum is full of rabid weirdos - but enjoy as loads aren't going and some want a loss as all want Wenger Out. There's a funny story in there too about a sulky Arse fan at a gym.

The usual home draw since Podgy took over at the swamp - we all know he's another manager TO1AW can't beat, so 1-1 coming up with the window licking **** mongy no doubt scoring for them

Bit of a premature ejaculator thread from OneBard here....

Fat Tongue is in serious form so he will deffo score against our shit defence. Hopefully Sanchez can bag a couple and give us a 2-1 win.

Come on you Gunners - Fuck The Scum.

No matter what else is happening, I cannot accept that any Gooner would want to lose this game. If you do then you need to go have a good long look in the mirror, and then stab yourself.

My wee man is the mascot for this game, everyone in the house is buzzin, I have a bad feeling though that fat tongue will ruin our day

Think it might need a rinsing at the hands of these fucking ***** to turn the last few remaining windowlickers against their Lord and Master and its well and truly on the cards. Shit for Brains couldn't beat Podgie if his life depended on it, and Kane scores against us even when he's not in form.....let alone when he's head and shoulders the best striker in the division

I could never cheer against us, let alone against these absolute *****, but if a return to the toxicity was ever needed then a limpdicked defeat against them would surely lead to it.

The fixture comes after a trip to the Etihad which will surely see us leek a minimum of 4 goals and put in an Anfield style performance. Between now and then we've got Everton away (has he ever beaten Koeman away from home??), and our bogey team Swansea at home.

Could be 15 points plus off the lead by the time the Vermin come to town. Happy old days

"We're moving to compete with Europe's elite"

Just when you think it cannot get any worse.

There are 2 scum melts that go to the same Gym as myself, I haven't seen them for a while - thank heavens - especially after the scum finishing above us last season.

For the last 5 years since our paths first crossed, I was always able to have last laugh because we finished above the tiny totts...and I always made a point of going to the Gym on St Totterings Day just in case, and wearing an Arsenal top.

I was there early before work this morning and one of them suddenly appeared on the tread mill next to mine wearing a scum shirt

I ignored the ****- I came to the end of the session and moved on to the next station...but he also stopped and stood next to the chin-ups & drags station etc where I was..and he said 'Are you going to the game on the 18th?' I just said blandly "I don't know depends on if I can get a ticket" - which I won't because I won't even try. He then pipes up, " we're going" - that's him and the other scum****wankstain.

He then says, - "We've got a banner ready, so have quite a few other tottnum fans got banners" showing total disinterest I ignored him and carried on with what I was doing, he then said 'It's about 12 ft by 6ft and it says "In Wenger We Trust" and it's got the cockerel on it at both ends, okay so I bite
icon_twisted.gif
and say, "Firstly you cannot even spell Wenger that is something beyond your ability as is the stature of our club both in class and trophies, also I want Wenger to stay, we will turn things around and poch will go to the barcawhores or madrid within the next 2 seasons..yes, and by then things will have returned to normal and your new toilet will be half-empty again.

I lied, but it was either that or hit him with one of the dumb-bells near by.

So we HAVE TO win this... I hate wenger but the thought of us losing and those 2 smarmy little***** lauding it over me is too much to bear.

icon_cry.gif
icon_banghead.gif
icon_cussing.gif

If Shit for Brains thought his poor little tender flowers got a hard time from the crowd last season when we were chasing 4th, then imagine the reaction when these ***** roll into town and send us down to 7th

Get the banners out and give the senile old **** an absolute miserable fucking time between now and May 2019. Make every last second he has at the club a toxic, poisonous venomous one. Make him regret the day he ever even thought about staying on

Or alternatively turn up and pay 62 quid and shuffle out quietly before the end leaving a few hundred to mildly boo while the vermin mock us singing "Arsene Wenger, we want you to stay"

We won't be winning this - at best a draw, but I fear a defeat by at least 2 goals. They are light years ahead of us, pure and simple. Better defenders, quicker passing, top striker and one of the best keepers in the league. Compare that to our ragbacks of interchangeable centre halves and left backs, three morons in midfield who move like disabled slugs and either the Lamppost or Joe L'Average up top

Probably the worst Arsenal team in years!
But it IS the worst led club in the EPL by far, rotten to the core! and I won't be showing any emotion should THEY get brownholed!....

Gotta be honest I'm fucking dreading this. Most defeats nowadays leave me a bit "meh" tbh, but this is still one of the few games that I genuinely care about. Hate these ***** and will be like a bear with an infected cock for days afterwards if we lose....

My gut feeling on this one will change daily in the lead up to it.

At the moment I reckon we will lose 1-3, and even typing that makes me feel sick.
icon_puke.gif
icon_censored.gif

I am struggling to see where the next win is coming from - no way we are beating this Spurs team - it is probably the first time that I can ever remember going into a NLD game thinking that we can't win.

then it is Burnley away - it would be very surprising to win up there at the moment

Manchester United at home in early December - surely the crowd will be turning on Wenger big time ?

Don't give a toss anymore, hopefully we get rolled over and get relegated so that wankers investment goes tits up.

If we get relegated I win £500 and Wenger gone , happy days .
icon_barscarf.gif

I have a ticket for this shitfest,I don't know how the mate I go with still manages to talk me into going.
This time I may leave my seat,(Block 8,Row 1),empty as a protest.

The modern football media is just ram-packed full of ****.

The current citeh team are on a par with our 04 Invincibles apparently, and according to one fat sandwich-inhaling **** on SlySports' Sunday Supplement programme the current citeh side are "probably better, because the Invincibles had like 12 draws or sumfing init".
icon_redface.gif

Apparently, and hilariously, PoxyChinos is an "elite" manager now, despite having won the grand total of ZERO trophies in an 8 year managerial career.
icon_lol.gif

And apparently the scum are now "successful" because they finished above The Arsenal ONCE in 20 years - in a season when they won NOTHING, we won the FA Cup, humiliating and outclassing the PL champions in the final, and stopping same said chav **** from doing the double.

You could not make this shit up.

so spurs' fake injuries let them rest divy alli and oneofourown...

...and whereas for years I was shitting myself at the thought of some of out players coming back injured from international duty, now I couldn't give a fuck.

Same as you I was brought up hating the scum. Even now, I am in my fifties, when any of them come through the train station where I work we always sell them the most expensive ticket and send them the long way round to the swamp.

Ticket flogged....apathy rules!

I don't blame you, the bigger tragedy here is that the club don't care who is in the seat, as long as it's paid for

Never has the gulf between Wenger and Fan been so vast, add to that a nonchalant strange being of an owner, who only worries at the sight of being caught without the rug on his head...
A few humiliations are on their way and the demise of this present structure of a Fake Team should in time may I add, be the end for that "Looney Tune" of a manager...
I have not been to 1 match this season at home, and the only real thing I miss is the pre and post match piss up...
One day guys, one day dear lord!

Nearly 10 years since Scum last won a trophy ....League Cup.....yeah.....big club.....Bollox
I agree...them and their manager have been ludicrously "bigged" up. The tragedy is that with Wenger overseeing things, they have become better than us. Not bigger, but definitely better.

Not sure Poch has been overhyped. Everyone knows Spurs are shite, the bloke is performing miracles. Would take him as our next manager in a heartbeat.

I cancelled my membership in 2010 and have not been to a game since. Main reason was I felt not enough money was being spent on the team. 7 years later I actually find this current Arsenal team quite boring to watch.
Usually we are playing against 10 defenders with 1 striker in the box. Also the players don't really seem to care about the shirt. When we lose its all laughing and joking on the training pitch a few days later.
If the players do not turn up against Spurs then I do think you will hear a more vocal Arsenal crowd.

Mike Dean appointed as ref.

i hate NLD day , its the aftermath of a defeat that doesnt go away as fast as any other game

Wasn't our latest Mike Dean match the one against Swansea where he denied us two pretty decent penalty shouts?

Yep. Hopefully he's got it out of his system now showing the world he won't give us a penalty. I can't help but think though that he's such an arrogant tossed that he won't do it again. At least it's not the level of incompetence of Jon Moss though. We're saved from that.

Irony is lost on this chap, no matter how untrue his story might be

Cannot face the chance that the two spurs fans might laud it over him should Tottenham win, but what’s he doing the day after “St Totteringham’s” day?

Also, football shirts in gyms? Says it all about the level of person involved!

The state of their fans. They really are a special breed. Too spoilt by the trophies that brought them to support the club in the first place at the turn of the century.
