Way too slow to be a CB, yet quicker than Jan or Toby, who are widely considered to be two of the best CBs about. He is not a Centre half way too slow. Trust Poch he knows

He's quality as both. We've had two years of virtually everyone saying he's a centre mid, a few games later and now it's that he's a centre back. Classic
Not a current one ?Stupid thread.
He’s a future leader for us, at cb or midfield.
Wouldn't be surprised to see clubs like Bayern and Juventus interested as well tbh. He's the type of player that would fit their tacical identity and we already know Bayern have been interested in the past.If Dier was available for transfer, Pep, Maureen and Conte would be fighting like fuck to bring him to their club and that is testament to the value he brings to any squad.
Have you forgotten the game at Anfield last year? He looked way out of his depth.Way too slow to be a CB, yet quicker than Jan or Toby, who are widely considered to be two of the best CBs about.

He is good in a back 3 but not in a 2. I love him to bits but no way is he a future CB. Grand were he isYou're picking on him for one game?
bottm line is we bought him as a CB, but a versatile defensive player. As I recall he’s first few games I remember him a RB stint! Then we needed a DMF and he did that so well he got an England call up in that position. My personal opinion is he is best at the DM role but is a versatile defensive player and will do a job whenever we need him, and that’s great to have. We've had two years of virtually everyone saying he's a centre mid, a few games later and now it's that he's a centre back. Eric Dier loves me.I love Eric Dier
