I don’t get the interest in Zaha, was bang average again today. I’d prefer we keep tabs on Richarlison at Watford, looks like he could be a real player.

Bang average is a bit unjust, with quality around him, he could be devastating. His pace was a constant thorn in our side and he scares any players he runs at. You put him in a team not bottom of the league, with confidence, he can be something special.

He needs 2 players on him at all times or he's incredibly dangerous. Even today we made sure we always had a man to cover when he got the ball. If you put him in our team it creates extra space for other players and he could be devastating.

I think people are seeing what they want to see. All I’m hearing is he has pace and yes we need that but honestly I don’t see him getting in our team ahead of Son. Please tell me does he get in the front 3 of any of our competitors:

City - Sane, Sterling, Jesus
United - Rashford, Martial
Chelsea - Hazard, Pedro, Willian
Pool - Mane, Salah
Goons - Sanchez, Lacazette

I think based on that list he only gets close to the first 11 at the goons and that is because they are so poor at the moment.

The quality of players around him has nothing to do with him missing an open goal, that is all down to him. I get we are desperate for our own Mane and we are scarred by Njie and GKN but Zaha just isn’t the answer.

Pulisic is an actual, real life possibility?!

Balls deep.

That kid had me shitting a brick every time he ran at our defence. So good on the ball, has the ability to finish a direct attack or quality to find a team mate.

We’re crying out for a player like that, who can constantly ask questions of a team and draw players out. Our finishing quality is phenonminal but we do lack a little of the approach play.

Zaha is another like him. He can skip past a player and bang you’re in. Sometimes does remind me of Bale a little when he does that - men against boys type stuff.

Surely neither in Jan though.

Pulisic
Zaha
Barkley
Shaw - if we do get rid of rose I'd like him in 6 months earlier to get up and running. I'm sure the decision is already made on rose

Barkley, Shaw (if Rose is sold) and Sessegnon.
Short term Shaw and Davies can battle for LWB, longer term Sessegnon comes into the equation, and either Shaw or Davies understudy Jan at LCB.
I'd still like to see us sign a CF who can stretch and work opposition CB's, someone with pace, power and workrate, because Llorente doesn't seem to have worked yet, we're not playing to his strengths.

The attacking player we need to round out our squad is Nabil Fekir. This guy has gotten over his knee injury from two years ago and is genuinely on Eriksen's level when it comes to all around footballing ability. 9 goals already in 10 Ligue 1 matches, with some absolutely stunning strikes among them. He has everything in his locker. Dribbling, creativity, goal scoring and highly competitive. Deschamps is going to watch him closely, and it wouldn't surprise me if he started for France next summer in Russia.

Right now, we are a much bigger club than Lyon and represent a nice step up in wages and platform for someone like him.

He has a very big future indeed, but he's a Mendes client, so that pretty much makes the deal impossible. :(

Yes, I've since read this. Seems he (Mendes) by all accounts is supposed to have of late and bit too much clout in who Wolves sign.

Their manager was Mendes' first client. The Chinese owners (Fosun) of Wolves have a stake in Mendes' company.

Mendes is considered an advisor to Fosun.

Seems to have their ear in a lot of dealings. Helping them to build and expand their football portfolio.

All the above allegedly.

Found in Guardian article.

Still like Neves though.

If you think all he has his pace you're not watching him close enough. Also if you just want to focus on his miss then you're welcome to but if you're going to evaluate a player then please focus on his overall contribution throughout the season, you will find that he has provided more positives then negatives for Palace.

I don't understand the point regarding our rival's front three...Zaha won't be coming in as a starter will he? Also you realise that he's actually producing more than half of those players listed right?

I'd like to see us go for Barkley in January and then go for Pulisic, Goretzka and Sessegnon next summer. Arguably another striker option as well unless one of the youngsters is looking ready.

If that's the case let's get him for free on 1st July instead of wasting £12-15M on him in January. We could use that money to give our first team players an extra £1m a year each (£20k per week).

I think by all accounts getting the deal done in Jan suits everyone, us because the fitness of Wanyama and Dembele has question marks over them, him because he'll probably want to get in the world cup squad and Everton cause they get a bit of money for him. Also they money would have been accounted for in the summer transfer budget.

Zaha wages could be an issue. He is very well paid at Palace already.

Zaha is so overrated.

He has pace and tricks but his finishing and decision making is poor.

I’d rather we put the significant money he would cost towards someone better and younger; Pulisic for example.

Pulisic would cost a fortune and would be very hard to get however...

He would open up a huge amount of marketing from the USA, it would be a huge statement of intent and would also send a message to our players that we mean business.

He value will only increase.

He adds pace, work rate, skill, creativity and goals.

Dortmund look likely to be going out the CL and are struggling in the league so come January they may not have a lot to play for and he could be open to leave.

He also negates the need for Barkley and Zaha.

Again, it helps elevate our status as a club and brings in a greater chance of a larger stadium sponsorship deal.

The appeal of the EPL to him could be a deciding factor among with working with Poch.

Cost will dictate obviously.

Fekir at Lyon would not be a bad back up option.
