He looks lost without Dele to celebrate with, after his second he does a sort of sad solo handshake o_O (get your mind out of the gutter ;) )

With a consistent run in the team I wonder what level he could get to. We saw the difference it made with Davies. With Poch now favouring a central pivot which has to be winks imo. It’s really Son/sissoko/ dembele fighting for one place. I know there will be rotation, but I’d really like to see him get a run of games and see what happens. Been our match winner in 2 out 3 last games. Deserves extended run imo.

I have to mention again, him being an intelligent player like Keano who once used to be for us, gives us more than just goals. Off the ball, his running and positioning contributed to our play as much as to the goals he scored.

With the amount of goals Son gets we should try everything to get him in the team, as long as he’s not LWB. I think we can afford to have Dele in CM against the lesser teams at home if it means another match winner is on the pitch

Dele will easily slot into a midfield 2 and hopefully still score a few goals.

Just picking up on a comment from @BringBack_leGin in another thread. Does Poch mistreat Son ? Does Son need to do more than any other player to get a staring slot ?

On current form he should be the first name on the team sheet but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Why ?

He should be starting every game imo. The only player we have who tries to get in the faces of the opposition and run round the back often

For every one decent game he’ll have 2-3 games when he frustrates the life out of you.
I think it's more 1:1:1. One game where he's unplayable, one where he does alright (ie yesterday), one where he drives you mad. I'm happy with that, he's still reasonably young so can improve upon that

Quality player, end of. People expect players to be playing their A game all the time, not happening.

Appreciate the fact we have a player of his ilk. Five years ago he would have been our best player, we have moved on so we critique every motherfucker that wears the shirt.

Top player.

Five years ago our best player was Gareth Bale.
