Sissoko should be nowhere near squad now , just promote a youth team player until January. Llorente is turning into a horrendous signing and we should offload in January probably. Eriksen shouldn't start at weekend, Dele too. Start Lamela and take him off after 60mins. Terrible, terrible result.

When was the last time Dier had a good game at CM? He's a class CB but a mid table CM at best. Rubbish on the ball, constantly misplacing passes. He's not even this destroyer that you'd think he would be.

I'll give my knees for Wanyama to come back.

At least Lamela came back well. Sanchez and Kane can hold their heads somewhat high recently. The rest can all fuck off

Lamela released balls quicker and one-time. Eriksen has the ability to do it but low confidence and seemingly burnt-out is taking his toll. Everyone is affected by recent slump, chose safer passages of passes and became so slow. Lamela was thus such breath of new air.

Dele needed his confidence back real quick. Wanting him to stop his flicks and nutmegs is impossible. I just hope the refs can grow some balls and give him some fouls certain of him. He needs to be protected in the game, to put it old-fashioned way. England needs him to be his best if coming WC is to be successful. Currently the refs are just destroying him from pissed and pussy officiating.

I ain't so sure it's his confidence tbh - Part of me thinks it's his "don't give two fucks" attitude sometimes....

Putting this on Poch book is bollocks. I just think players didn't believe we could win it this year (Wembley)

after 2 successive title challenges doesn't look like they've got the stomach for fight for top 4.

It's C league, FA cup or bust now.

I don't like doing dirty laundry - But that was a pile of well-seasoned pants.
WTF is wrong with us at the moment?
We deserved a draw to be fair- but couldn't convert a nun to Catholicism if we tried. (Eriksen/ Llorente chances???!!! Easier to fucking score...surely Sister Shirley?)
I'm a wee bit mythed and pissed off - We only seem to get going when we are behind.

If you want to see through this misty Spurs - I think it's quite clear...
1) How much we miss Toby Alderweireld - He's an absolute fucking giant for us. The main man. The Fulcrum. The Boss.
2) How important Victor Wanyama was to us last season and how much we miss him.
3) How knackered Eriksen is at the moment.
4) How one-dimensional "Shoot at all costs" Harry can be.
5) How off-form and `lost` Dele Alli is.
6) How we lack any replacements/alternatives for any of the aforementioned is killing us and preventing us from being at the level we want to be.

All that said - I'll reiterate my previous - we're on a bad run of form in the league. It happens. It will get better. Tonight we were beaten by two players I'd love in our squad as the alternatives to the aforementioned. That's what we need if we want to be less one-dimensional and step up to the next level.

Finally - On a very happy note - I love Erik Lamela - I am so happy to see him back playing. Fantastic.

Going to be a long old season.

Don't see us getting top 4. It's one thing to slackoff for a few games, but that's a run of five in the league now and the recurring theme keeps happening. We start slowly, stay in slow mode, and then panick with ten minutes to go and decide to throw the kitchen sink at it.

A recipe that isn't going to yield results over the long term.

I know injuries are definitely a factor but the lack of tempo, pressing and desire is surely more significant, where has it gone? Why has it gone and not returned at all?

We're good enough to finish top 4 but we're clearly not going to playing like this.

Problem now is confidence has dropped.

The huge positive was Lamela, breath of fresh air, his work rate, endeavour and guile - qualities we're sorely missing.

I know Dele can be brilliant and frustrating in equal measure, and is still growing as a player, but what the fuck has happened to Eriksen? His poor form is also a major contributory factor towards our spiralling form imo.

But above all, we need to do more as a collective. Getting back to pressing and showing more desire to win the ball back, win the scrap for the second ball etc

Perhaps, and hopefully, Lamela's return will ignite us collectively.

If Pochettino feels he's not going to get a response he needs to make changes now.

When we do not press teams high, we are as good as any mid table side.

We lack creativity, leadership and commitment. This is what you get by playing a very young side, cheaply assembled and with a threadbare bench.

I believe that we have a very good manager but as always we fail to capitalize on our success by adding one or two more expensive, better skilled and more experienced players.

P.S.
If proof were needed Mahrez spelled it out to Poch today exactly what we need. Don't like to say it but something good may come out of this one sided game because that's what it was.

I honestly think a spell for Dele on the bench will do him good but Poch will never do it even if he has alternative options.

Two games we dominated but fell behind, two games we fight back and score with enough time to get the result that as a nuetral you’d expect ie a win v WBA and a draw tonight.
So frustrating especially with Arsenal scoring so late.
At least now it’s definite we can’t win the league , a slight re alignment of sights and we should be fine. Top 4 will seem like a big success and we have got enough to get that comfortably I think.

Eriksen leaves the pitch, we get infinitely better.

Eriksen needs to be rested/dropped or whatever you want to call it.

He is horribly off form. Its not Pochs style to drop out of form players though, hence why Dele add Dier never miss a second of football.
