For me that reads they are doing a second scan to make sure it’s heeling right so they don’t push him on and make it worse
Agreed. It's normal for muscle injuries (and fractures) to have repeat scans and x-rays to monitor progress. I think this is an attempt at news where there currently is no definite news.

What about his injury...... Where is his new contract.
Non existant. We dont want to pay him what he is worth, which is over £100k/wk, apparently. No good news surrounding this one tonight. And of course as per usual, it all comes out right before a fucking game:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Would be incredible if we lost him for not paying him over £100k. That is nothing in today’s game especially as any replacement of equivalent quality and experience would want the same if not more. Happy to remain open minded but would be a clear sign of Levy being yet again so far of the reservation in terms of how the game has changed in the last couple of years

To be fair world class players like Toby have been making those type of wages before the TV deal money kicked in

Has someone made an offer for Toby on the back of this bad injury? ...

Yeah CLEARLY

Well we've obviously been trying to get him to sign a new deal for a long time. He hasn't. He obviously could play for any club in the world, and earn more than double our top wage. We have to sell him this coming summer to or his value will halve - qed he's going this summer. Unless levy is willing to lose £40/50m off his value, which he obviously won't be.

Too many assumptions in there to warrant your QED.

His price may halve but his value won’t, and there’s no way for us to know whether Levy rates his value to the club above or below the transfer fee. So it’s still guesswork.

Who was the last valuable player levy let get into the last 2 years of his deal?
