They’re arrogant now. Had a whole pub full of them when I was watching the NLD. They were playing Reading, so stopped off at the pub I was at. And one was saying Kane was overrated, Rooney with hair. I just laughed, my mate piped up and said stick to the Championship. And he replied, might be in the Championship but still richer than you now.

I was like, you arrogant twat. A little bit of money and it goes to their heads. Hope they end up flopping. Dirty dingles.

Modern football.

Oh man, we've seen and heard ALL of this before. Every new foreign owner feels the initial sugar rush & starts talking about CL. If they lose 2 on the bounce, it'll be a crisis. The manager is impressive on first sight, but I give him no better than 50/50 to be there at the end of next season. Etc. etc. If it were this easy, everyone would be doing it.

Do you reckon if we dangle Sissoko in front of them for £35m they'd bite? Do they have television there yet?

I’d be more worried about dele with the mendes connection. I could see him in that golden orange shirt,it’s almost like playing for Brazil every week.:ROFLMAO: Just to add saw some fans interviewed on SSN. It really is the most ridiculous accent in the world.

Good luck to Wolves and their new owners. Of course it's ridiculous to talk about the CL while they're still in the Championship, but their investment seems to be a pretty shrewd move.

The West Midlands has a huge catchment area, with a population of something approaching 6 million, yet they have but one club in the Premier League (West Brom) whose sole priority, season after season, is to finish no lower than 17th.

The traditional 'top dogs', Aston Villa, have been in the doldrums for years and are currently 10pts behind Wolves - Birmingham are 17th in the same league and in danger of dropping down a division.

So good luck to Wolves. Apart from their history (original members of the Football League) and tradition, it's ridiculous that the UKs 2nd most populous region has no team capable of competing at the very top level of English football.

It’s amazing really the midlands has never produced a dominant club. I know villa have won European Cup but it’s 1 league title in 100 years and 1 FA cup. There’s never been a midlands club that’s had a few years of dominance which is strange.

Nottingham is in the Midlands. They did pretty well for a spell.

2 or 3 seasons really. I’m talking about a sustained big club.

Well suppose it depends how far you go back? Villa won the league 5 out of 6 seasons and two FA cups in that time, if you go back far enough..

Seen Wolves at the top of the championship and was pleased as I’ll always have a soft spot for them as I went to University there.

But of a shame to find out the’ve gone down the lottery route, but good luck to them anyway.
