He’s nearly 21 just a year younger than Dele. He’s had nearly 40 appearances for spurs and I literally can not remember one single game he’s played for us that I’ve come away thinking wow josh played well he’s a real talent. The only thing that gave me hope was the World Cup and that was clearly because he was playing against physically inferior players. If you ask any of our youth coaching staff to list our young CM in order of potential I’m pretty sure it would go. Winks Skipp TOB Onomah. And that’s not considering anyone we might buy. His pathway with us looks near on impossible.

You sound like you’ve been desperately waiting for a poor performance by him so you can rip into him, you post a hell of a lot less after the games where villa fans have tweeted how good he’s been

It was only a month ago you said "Josh Just needs time he is only 20.5". Now you're writing him off.

He’s playing with a bunch of choppers who can’t be arsed to keep possession of the ball.

He is learning zero on this loan spell.

Not necessarily. Learning to face adversity when the cards are stacked against you can help to round off a young player and their character. We'll see, I guess...

I just laugh at how indecisive COYS2000 posts are. He/she has many mixed feeling about Josh Onomah
not really, it's quite simple straightforward. @coys200 just wants to see him as your garden variety centerback forward hybrid. And i agree it's frustrating seeing him played in midfield, were he's a role he's so ill suited too. :sneaky:

I've never seen someone's view flip flop so much in my life, you remind me of jari17, if I'm correct with his name.

You've probably never seen Onomah play academy football, you probably never saw Winks play academy football, you have probably seen Skipp and TOB play a combined 6 games and you've decided who's the best of them. You've also said at points you think Maghoma has more promise than Josh and others, despite at the start of this season acknowledging you'd never seen Maghoma play. You are so fickle with your opinion. You have no idea how idea what the coaches think, McDermott has been pushing him for the first team, Man City wanted him he has won 2 international youth tournaments in one of our strongest age groups consistently being their CM, and you're view on him is based of an average of 2 mins per game with us on the wing and what you've seen for a hoofball Villa side. When they play well the fans praise him when they struggle they slag him off, you are no different to them.

Please before formulating a view, stop, breathe, think and then post, as you're making yourself look foolish on here. Not rating Josh is fine, despite his limited chances and his age, but you're constant changing of our opinion is making you lose credibility on here. I give Skipp 2 poor games before he also falls behind Maghoma in your view.

I feel as though he could have at least done as much as our other CMs today. In fact he always looks to pass forward which we sorely lack in midfield at the moment
