West Ham have an absolutely huge game at home against West Brom 48hrs before playing us. If they're gonna rotate it'll be against us. We should play the first team vs Swansea to absolutely make sure we get the win and keep this run going then if required mix it up and hopefully play a West Ham who are just as jaded but have rotated in and put out a far inferior lineup to ours.

They won't put out an inferior line up to play us. They will make small tweaks but they will want to be competitive.

Unless you have a harder game 48hrs later and don’t want players picking up crucial injuries.

We have a squad for this very purpose.

All the other PL teams will be rotating and I hope we’ll be no different.
Well, we are benefitting from a relatively speaking good break between yesterday and Swansea ( a full week). Presumably that'll be spent wisely.
Then this is Pochettino. He'll rotate a maximum of 3 anyway. The obvious candidates being FBs and Dembele. Then, if the win is sealed early, maybe for once he could dare to execute some subs in the light of risk management (I'm looking at you, Kane). But really, we need 3 points from Swansea regardless of what comes after, and should line up accordingly.

This is when you really want to take advantage of our squad options, particularly at full back, with games so close together.

Hands down I would play Davies and Trippier at Swansea. Rose and Aurier coming in to run at a tired West Ham defense - hopefully.

Get the game won and take Kane et al off as soon as we can, circumstances permitting. Llorente and Lamela I'm sure will get some minutes.

And yes MO's running power well handy in these away games.

Lloris

Trippier
Sanchez
Vertonghen
Davies

Dier
Sissoko

Eriksen
Dele
Son

Kane

Totally agree. Hate that clichéd line anyway, you think Fergie never changed a winning team? Of course he did.

I never usually do teams, but fuck it I'm bored.

Swansea:

Lloris
Aurier - Sanchez - Jan - Davies
Dier - Eriksen
Lamela - Dele - Son
Kane

West Ham:

Lloris
Trippier - Dier - Jan - Rose
Sissoko - Dembele
Eriksen - Dele - Son
Kane

Injuries permitting.

Just focus on beating Swansea. If we manage that then we can look at West Ham.

Would be ridiculous to plan a starting line up for the following game imo. Both games carry the same meaning, 3 points to play for.

It’s not like the first one is a meaningless league cup game followed by a champions league semi final

We are good enough to win both games with a variety of line ups

Moyes still has not totally won over the fans, no way will he go weak against us for their cup final.

He'll definitely have to play his first choice team against West Brom though as they're a relegation rival. If he feels he has to play same team again against us it'll play into our hands anyway as they'll be knackered which will leave us a lot of space.

Lloris
Trippier - Sanchez - Vertonghen - Davies
Sissoko - Dier
Lamela - Eriksen - Alli
Kane

Bench: Vorm, Aurier, Rose, Foyth, Winks, Son, Llorente

- Rotation is necessary in my opinion if we are to get 6 points from the Swansea and West Ham fixtures.
- 4 changes from the Southampton game, Trippier, Davies, Sissoko, Lamela on for Aurier, Rose, Dembele and Son, keep them fresh for the West Ham game.
- I think Dembele got a slight knock from the last game so I'd rather not risk him against Swansea.
- A couple of early subs for Kane, Eriksen and Alli, if winning, would also be healthy.

We’re going to have to be at it for this one. Swansea have just appointed the former Sheffield Weds manager and you know they’ll be lifted and give an extra 10% trying to impress.

Easily the worst team this season. New manager or not we should beat them.

West Ham will go full strength against us. Zero chance they’ll rotate in their cup final.

Are you insane? Foyth and Llorente I get, but leaving Sissoko on the bench? And now Lloris is clearly past his best, why have you not put Vorm, or better yet, Gazzaniga, between the sticks?? Some people............

Wow, just checked out the 2015 ratings thread against Swansea. We had Mason, Bentaleb, Chadli and Townsend in there. All reasonable players, but no comparison to what we can field now.
