Rather have Kane for 10 more years than Bale back for 4, of which he'd miss 2 through injury.
Bale was/is an incredible player but Kane is twice if not ten times more important to our future.
AND he wants to be here.

The thing that strikes me about this offer is how patronising it is. As if Spurs would be bamboozled by the glittery bauble of Bale, and so hoodwinked by it that we'd let go of our biggest asset & best player. It's Real taking us for idiots, and they really should know by now that that's not how Spurs is run. (All that notwithstanding that the story is probably BS to begin with.)

Bullshit story.

Real have dealt with Levy before, there’s no way they believe he’d sell Kane for nearly £50m less than the world record?

They know they will need to bring a Neymar beating offer to the table to stand even the slightest chance.

Plus, Harry’s not one they have the ability to unsettle by simply flashing a smile, like they do so often.

I'm sure Bale would be a marketing dream if he came back but they'd want too much money and no way Kane is leaving Spurs for at least the length of his current contract.

It's utter fiction from the Star.

I think as long as the club progresses, Kane stays. But there is a caveat, I do believe that Kane might be convinced otherwise by regression or failure to reach the fullest potential. Probably he'd stay to see the first season of the stadium though!

We've been idiots when dealing with Madrid before, just like we used to be when dealing with Man Utd

Need to keep Kane at all costs

I understand your disappointment at losing Modric and Bale but I don't think we've been idiots, Chelsea tried to get Modric for £20 million max despite the crap written by the papers and we got £35 million and we then got nigh on £100 million for Bale, both prices way above the norm at the time, we also skinned United for the two players they bought from us this century.
Kane isn't going there or anywhere else whatever we read in the Sunday Star.

The only story less believable than this one would be the new stadium being sponsored by Emirates("Tottenham, live at the Emirates 2 Stadium, only on Sky!"), Wonga as new shirt sponsors and Arsol being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

No footie journalist will ever be admonished by his boss for producing a completely fantastical and imaginary Harry Kane transfer story. More likely to get a promotion and a bonus.

Why would including Bale in any Kane offer be an incentive for us. We have first refusal on him until summer 2019. Bale is ours if Madrid sell and we want him.

Assuming we can match the bid and offer him a bigger contract yeah.

If we put him on £250k a week too, which we can’t.

I doubt Bale coming in and earning twice the wages of Kane would make Harry stay.
If we don’t put Kane on £200k plus this summer we’ve lost him anyway. Harry wouldn’t mind Bale earning more IMO. The sort of humble guy he is, he’d say the three time CL winner should be a top earner.
