Yeah not sure what that's got to do with anything, you don't really have a point and it's pretty obvious what your agenda is, I'm out (y)

No there wasn't an agenda.. They have smacked us with the same deficiencies in their that you referred to.

But no i dont have an agenda.

It's alright keep banging the Liverpool are great doing their business early drum. That they identify an area of weakness and go out and address the problem.

Last two seasons have seen them pocket £124.1 million and £134.1 million

Yep, £258.2 million, a quarter billion more.

The big hitters like UTD and City only rush their buying if there is a threat to the deal, otherwise they just sit back and blow everyone else aside with mega wages on offer usually good enough to get the deal done.

It's been said no others were in for VVD, so why all the cum fest because they signed a CB.

Whoopy feckin do.

Quarter of a billion more than us over 2 seasons, higher wage ceiling. We might pay the premium early if we were in the same bracket.

Let's concentrate on our team as opposed to praising a team for buying a CB early and a player who will join next season.

If this is somewhat a struggle, have a cheeky smirk and remind yourself how little we paid for Alli.

Now that's what you call feckin business.

Breathe.....and breathe again. From the first post I've merely acknowledged their transfers. Nothing more.... I have not suggested that we utter crap at it.

All I've done repeatedly is counter the naysayers. A little bit of objectivity and all that.

We've finished above them 7 out of 8 seasons or whatever it is and beat them 4-1 this year.

I think it's a bit weird to be jealous of Liverpool tbh. Clearly we are doing something right

I never said we havent done anything right... Like you i was overjoyed with the thrashing we gave them... It brought me endless joy.. More so than when we beat Arsenal.

You think Mane was more highly rated in world football than Lamela?

A signing turning out to be good doesn't mean the fee wasn't high.

It's like saying if we'd bought Alli for £20m it was a good price because he has done well despite us being able to get him for cheaper.

No... Im saying He wasnt overpriced.. But that will just start another debate... So kindly.. Let's leave that argument there.

....... includes Coutino (who was
General Football

bought ages before Klopp arrived), and conveniently ignores the £60m+ they spent on Wijnaldum and Chamberlain.......if Coiutino goes to Barca this window then they'll be back down in 6th/7th.
What they have done reasonably well, is sold a load of old shite for good money, which has gone some way to balancing the books.

Ive been praising their business and particularly acquiring their targets early and mentioned the months more or less when they were signed.

Btw we have done the same on a few deals... Alli/Vertonghen/Janssen etc... But ive tried hard not to compare our deals... The point of my original post was they wising up and doing good business OVERALL.

Thats said with Spurs blinkered tints there... But i understand that.. Grudgingly not wanting to compliment a rival. I think the opposite and by seasons end they will be in the top 4. For a second season running. It wont be a coincidence too.

The line of finishing behind us 7-8 seasons running doesn't hold much sway. It just means their business was poor then.

This season i think we stood still... They might have caught up and overtaken us BUT lets wait until the season ends to confirm if this is indeed the case. I am worried this season whereas previously i knew they were still some distance off us.

I believe we’ll finish above them

Mane' was a brilliant price £38 Million or so. Deal done and sealed early. Negotiations started in March/April which is what i would like us to do.

Like when we signed Modric/Vertonghen etc. Vertonghen broke in like March April but done somewhere in Hune/ July.. Memory fading on that one. But thats the gist of it. Get business done early !!!

I think your forgetting just how inconsistent Mane was at Southampton, I certainly remember talking with a number of different mates and us all thinking he was way over priced, he also doesn't have the best injury record.

Under klopp they have bought 14 players for a total of £221,300,000 and I would argue only 2 have been hits, and as others have pointed out they are still lacking in certain areas

They locked their Coutinho thread last I looked

So weird how they shut down player threads at the drop of the hat there when they look like they are leaving. Every club has fans that will have a melt down when a star player leaves, just take it on the chin and let people vent.

Yet more tawdry behaviour by one of the Spanish giants. I know people tend to hate Real and like Barca, but frankly I loathe both clubs.
