Mate he's got a cold.

I am not talking about a cold. I am just talking about being able to recover for 2nd game with just 48 hours in between. Especially both are night games with high possibility of rain & being cold - ideal for pulling hamstrings & muscle injuries

End of the day, Poch will decide. But don't be surprised if he uses the squad & takes the safe option

Dude we're not the only team playing two days in 48 hours, practically every other manager didn't rest their most important players over that period. Poch doesn't rest players if they don't need resting anyway, the only players he tends to rotate are the full backs, he just simply doesn't take risks when it comes to decisions like this and especially as we're talking about our best player and his cover being Llorente who doesn't have the same kind of impact then he'll go for the strongest side, he always does.

I would love Lamela and Vic to be fit enough to play tonight, at the very least I would hope Lamela to start but I can’t help but feel that both won’t really play much, or at all, until the cup game Sunday. Hope I’m wrong.

You missed Liverpool game yesterday then ? They rested their main players. Got away with 2 wins
Arsenal,City & Chelsea had 2 games in 3 days. While United could get away with it, Everton couldnt run yesterday in 2nd half.

Salah picked up a groin injury and Coutinho is the subject of a move to Barcelona, not quite the same.

Kane has a cold.

I don’t it’s anything to do with being ill, just playing a high intensity game like West Ham 48hrs after playing Swansea.

Why do you think managers are all bleating about the schedule? They know it poses potential injury risks for players.

West Ham is the harder game, therefore we should save Kane for that imo.

The difference is that the last time we played was on Boxing day which was a week ago, we've had the longest rest period of ouf anyone. The two day break isn't going to make such a difference in that case, he will get his adequate rest against Wimbledon.

Is it so much of a stretch to ask him to play 3 matches in 9 days, that's pretty much standard fare for any footballer.

I am not a physio, but although as you say 3 games in 9 days is standard, it is the 48hrs recovery time which I think is pertinent.

We’ve seen with Toby how easy it is just a do a muscle. An injury to Kane would screw our season. I personally just don’t think it’s worth the risk. If we can’t beat Swansea without him then our squad simply ain’t good enough.

I agree and you're right that 48 hours is categorically not enough recovery time between games and the risk of injury is huge. However I think Poch will treat Swansea as the more important as its next, and Harry will be on the bench vs West ham.
