Are Barca not strolling la liga anyway? Coutinho would be cup-tied for the CL, what's their desperation to get him in January, surely they could get him cheaper in the summer with Liverpool being more receptive themselves then as well.

Worth paying a huge premium now when you could integrate him at start of pre season? I could see him staying unt season ends.

Here's a surprising stat.
If we win our next 3 games (Wham, Everton and Manu) we will have 49 points, from 24 games
Last season we had 50 points from 24 games..Gd +30.
We need some luck with injuries!
We would basically have caught up within a point of last year at the same stage.

P W D L GD Pts
1 Chelsea 24 19 2 3 34 59
2 Tottenham 24 14 8 2 30 50
3 Man City 24 15 4 5 20 49
4 Arsenal 24 14 5 5 24 47
5 Liverpool 24 13 7 4 22 46
6 Man Utd 24 12 9 3 15 45

Last year, we then got 36 points out of a possible 42....
i guess if we do that (win the next 3) and get close on the GD then the belief argument becomes less of a problem as we are matching last years performance.
The Champions league situation is equally fascinating as IF we beat Juve we will have beaten both of last years finalists, so in a way we would have everything to play for.
If we do not, then we have no distraction of the CL to stop us from concentrating on the league.
As usual I am more bullish than most on here, I think we can still have a cracking season and finish 2nd.

If Arsenal lose tonight they are pretty much out of it especially with Europa and carabo obligations. 6pts off pool 5 off us Hopefully and add a point for goal diff.

Think they basically want to bed him in now and give him time to adapt for next season. Also Messi was promised him as part of signing his deal apparently.

But if they win, then we can get just two points bellow Chelsea.

I would still like a draw.

Yep with 4 or 5 red cards several injuries all to Hazard and fibreglass
A 10 man brawl resulting in wheelchair being knocked the feck out by kante
Wenger fighting and winning with conte and pulling his wig off
All followed by a wormhole sucking the chavski fans in to another dimension

Should be great viewing for the neutral

And Robbie from AFTV sticking two chips up his nose and running round the pitch riding an imaginary pony, shouting “wibble”...

The replay will then be a bad tempered draw with a few red cards.

Floodlight failure turns out to be sabotage by the Premier League referees association....

"yeah, we did it because we don't like you Arsene....

XXX Mike Dean"

EPIC MELTDOWN!!

Maybe because he hasn't gone yet, when it's official expect a lot more people to be relaxed.
Maybe. I think damage is done now either way. Be surprised if he stays now after the money they spent and the Nike Barca shirt debacle. What if he gets crocked and the deal is off? I didnt think he'd go before summer but after the money they've spent, plus if they try and stop him again he might throw toys out the pram. We'll see. Sit back and enjoy lol.

I think promises were made to Messi about strengthening first 11.

No chance they are out of it if they lose today, remember they would have played Pool and Chelsea twice already in there 22 games.

Those who think they are out of top4 race if they lose today are having a laugh

Yeah but surely Liverpool should just say to player and Barca we can deal in summer, that way they're stronger for securing CL for next season.

I don't get why they wouldn't wait, they would still receive a huge fee. Why weaken themselves now when top 4 race is such a dog fight.

I'm confused. Are Arsenal suddenly good or Chelsea suddenly shit?
Chelsea getting pulled all over the shop.
