I imagine not a loan, as I think that that would put us at more risk if he got seriously injured etc, because he'd be our player. I am pretty sure that "agreements to buy" for football players have various conditions precedent (to use the legal term) such as being able to pass a medical at the relevant time, ie in the summer. If we bought him outright and then loaned him, and he suffered an ACL while on loan, we're fucked. So if this happens is this going to be a loan back deal or a he will join us on July 1 deal? Like Keita for Liverpool. Additionally, if everything is signed is something we would announce this window? Think the announcement would prove a big boost for the squad and fans.
Doesn't " guaranteeing he's in a Tottenham shirt for a full preseason," pre-suppose that he has no chance of making Brazil's World Cup squad? That may be the case, but if it isn't then he might well not have a "full pre-season" this summer.I completely agree. But spending 35m on what you just described doesn't seem in line with our transfer policy. Maybe that price is just a reality of the market and guaranteeing he's in a Tottenham shirt for a full preseason, but what's that actually worth? That's really my only hesitation. Other than that, can't wait for him to be introduced at Stamford Bridge this weekend.
The fact that he's racked up 7 league goals despite having an xG around 3 (0.19 x 16.3) is a testament to the fact that he's capable of scoring very difficult goals. The lasers from 20 yards could definitely be helpful against teams parking the bus.https://twitter.com/fussballradars/status/947569481978712064
Malcom - 1st half of Ligue 1 17/18 [for @Manlike_kante]
While the fans are too busy creaming over his screamers, they tend to underrate his playmaking ability. Final third master.
Fair. Looks like he's only had two caps at u23 level. Does he have a chance at their world cup squad? I don't know enough about their depth at his position to say.Doesn't " guaranteeing he's in a Tottenham shirt for a full preseason," pre-suppose that he has no chance of making Brazil's World Cup squad? Surely someone who drops off and beats a couple of players in tight spaces before threading a pass is exactly what we need against park the bus teams. A player playing off the last man against a team camped is not going to help things whatsoever. We've got them in Kane, Dele and Son already.
I have, explicitly and implicitly. He doesn't have an overreliance as much as only a right foot.Exactly. Dele Alli has quite the overreliance on his right foot; I certainly don’t see it mentioned often.
Perhaps it is a problem with your 'understanding' and not so much the facts in evidence. Plays in a better team with higher expectations againts better quality opponents...and is better. All that equals less of a work in progress. Not sure I understand how Pulisic is any less a work in progress than Malcom either tbh
Could have something to do with his left foot being exceptionally talented beyond almost anything ever seen in the footballing world. Thus it can be excused. And at Malcom's age Messi was already dominating teams on the European stage with only that left foot. Bit of a difference wouldn't you say?AFAIK Messi tends to use his right only when he has to, and it hasn't really hurt him. The number of players who can use both well, let alone really well, is low.
Did you see him get walked down by Jordan Amavi in that Marseille video? That is post-ACL, Aston-Villa Jordan Amavi. And he did it multiple times in that vid.To the people discussing that they want a winger with pace, I think there's a different aspect of it. Moving at pace with the ball. N'koudou is very fast but very slow on the ball. Malcom is not as fast but is much quicker on the ball.
Tbf I’m not afraid to admit my knowledge is from YouTube and FIFA stats. My favourite part of the transfer window.
Where we get strongly linked to a player from France and suddenly everyone is an avid watcher of the French League

My point was that being one-footed isn't necessarily a determining factor in how good you can be, regardless of the level you're playing at, be it at Barca or S****horpe.Could have something to do with his left foot being exceptionally talented beyond almost anything ever seen in the footballing world. Thus it can be excused. And at Malcom's age Messi was already dominating teams on the European stage with only that left foot. Bit of a difference wouldn't you say?
Passing in 80s% in a team thats battling relegation says a lot. He will only improve with better players around him.
Could be worse she could be singing his name... Again. My girlfriends ex was called Malcolm. On that basis, I don't want him and will never sing his name. Fuck you Spurs.
He passes backward a lot to his supporting mids and FB. Not that hard.
Backward passes are bad for a CM. For a winger who is always on the attack, back ward pass stat doesnt give the full picture. For starters, he doesnt have a Kane or a Son or a Dele making good runs ahead. All we can say from passing stat is, he doesnt give it away that easily. Given he is a forward player, more often than not, Bordeaux play most of the time in attacking half through him.
