Hard to see Fulham selling now - they sit in 7th, 1 point out of 6th, and with a better goal differential than the two teams directly above them. Even a sale, and loan back does not make much sense from Fulham's perspective.

Getting a promotion is financially worth more than what anyone is going to offer for Sessegnon, and if they miss promotion, the suitors will be there in the summer.

Is the right answer. People can stamp their feet and blame the club for not trying hard enough but Fulham aren't stupid.

There is no way Fulham will sell Sessegnon this window, even if he's loaned back. Not with the position they are in in the league, currently. If they dont get promoted and they sell him in the Summer, we will likely be priced out. Our chance was last summer, I'm afraid.

Another thing - Fulham's owner is worth considerably more than Joe Lewis. He also owns an NFL team.

We are gonna regret not signing this kid last summer.... yes it may not be club fault but we are gonna have some serious challenges in the summer for his signature...

Just wish we can get him tied up and let Fulham keep him till Summer but doubt it as they know if they hold out, they could demand so much more in the summer, especially if he continues this form and gets in world cup squad

He's actually got good agents who put their player first over money last summer. If only more were like it.

Did they? How much would they have got in agents fees if it went to a tribunal last year compared to the rumored £40-50m fee this year?

Maybe but still better than the club getting screwed over.

I guess it's worth remembering that Luke Shaw cost United £31m when he joined them as an 18 year old back in 2014. Obviously he had Premier League and England experience then, but with the inflation in football over the last few years you can see why Fulham might want a higher amount for Sessegnon.

I'm not sure they would have gotten screwed over, say they accepted 10-15m, that would have been enough to run their academy for the next 5 years (just guessing) and would have more than covered the time and money they had invested into him.

As opposed to the 50 or whatever they can get now?

It’s a wait and see on him for the summer. Not really worth debating anything atm

A year ago I posted that Sessegnon was a real talent and we should just offer them £25M and do the deal there and then. People laughed at me and said that was ridiculous money for a 16 year old. Fair enough I suppose but he has come on a good deal since then and we now have the same problem.

Is he now worth £50M? It's really the time to decide because after this he's either going to be out of our price range or a bullet dodged. Either way, realistically it is our last opportunity to sign him.

I remember your post...and the austerity accountants were on like a flash....
