I'll be absolutely livid if we don't sign Malcom.

I'd be prepared. Don't know why we'd add him unless we're getting rid of Lamela. Lamela, Son, Eriksen, Dele, Lucas should be plenty for the 3 behind Kane.
City are city and you know they will spend and they love 40million pound attacking 20 year olds. Dortmund between Ousame and Auba have about 150-200million they've maybe reinvested a pinch of and are heavily expected to have to hold the line on big offers for Pulisic so I would not be surprised if they are active in his sort of market. Liverpool will be looking at Coutinho replacements, probably Pulisic, and should that fail he would probably be on that short list. All of them I could see realistically flirting with him as a target. That is a lot of money to be going toe to toe with.

I think Malcom would work as Eriksen back up amongst other things. He looks to be a very incisive passer and would have far more assists in a better team, statistically.

I would like him in. He looks like a warrior too which is huge.

A proper transitional central midfielder if Onomah isn’t up to it is very important IMO. The Serbian at Lazio looks a lovely player, might be too expensive but I think that’s the level we need to look at now. Milonkovic Savic he’s called. Haven’t seen the kid at Napoli, but Kovacic should be a target for sure.

I would go big for Sessegnon - but over 50 million is just insane. The premier league is looking increasingly out of touch financially and the bubble WILL burst. We need to keep a degree of objectivity and we have done that superbly with Lucas.

If Toby is off I’d like us to go for De Ligt. Him and Sanchez with guidance from Jan could lay down some serious foundations. Ideally though I’d like keep the defence as is if possible.

So,

IN:

Malcom
Rolls Royce CM
Sessegnon*
De Ligt*

I’d let Lamela go I think - it’s just too much of a variable now when we have such a lean squad.

OUT:

Sissoko
Lamela
GKN
Carter Vickers
Rose*
Alderweireld*

I’d rather have Leon Bailey than Malcolm tbh. Bailey is something we don’t have a big physical winger that could be Kane back up As well. For me Malcolm is very similar to Son and Moura. We need to be careful we don’t become to samey. Currently we have a great blend in AM .Bailey is a bit bale like in what he offers.

What make sure you think the PL bubble will burst? If anything, I see a global subscription service coming, so anyone around the world can watch any match, which will challenge the likes of Netflix for financial muscle.

Why? I'd be much more pissed off if we prioritised Malcom ahead of a CM.
I think Malcom has the potential to challenge or replace either Alli or Eriksen. We’re not going to keep both forever. He’s a talent, could be a Coutinho style find if we can get him.

Why do you need the winger to be physical?? Our whole team is physical
I don't see him as a lone striker either. He doesn't seem to know how to work with his back to the goal.
Bailey is fast, very fast. He would suit better a team with open space in attack. We, on the contrary, usually have little space as teams tend to park the bus against us. Thus I think Malcom suits us better in that sense

As I said he is something we don’t have. Where as Malcolm is in same type as Son moura. Just my preference. Also see Bailey could play for England. Still to decide his international allegiance.

Calum Wilson. Based on yesterday's highlights he seems to have gotten over his terrible injuries as well as can be hoped. He'd be pricey but not too bad, and I imagine wages will be fine, and probably happy to be a squad player. Quick, strong, good finisher. We can't afford yet another risky striker purchase to turn out badly

When has it ever been sustainable when one isolated market is radically out of touch with numerous other seemingly identical markets (I.e playing football). The money doesn’t necessarily have to be in England, and acting as if it does would be foolish.

In your example, the collapse would be right there. Netflix runs at a loss. So does Spotify. That’s ok because they garner huge amounts of information on users which has tangible marketing value.

But premier league clubs are not effective vehicles for the collection of metadata as they don’t represent a monopoly on a service. Football is played everywhere. It’s not novel or exclusive.

You wouldn’t buy Bournemouth to know what their fans like to do on a Wednesday night....

At least I hope you wouldn’t :(

Wait so we got a pacy, tricky winger and now people want another one? We already have 2 of them in Lucas and Son.

1) Central Midfielder. 2-way player. Must be capable of partnering Wanyama or Dier. Must be capable of physically imposing themselves on game.

2) New contract for Toby.

3) GK to replace Vorm.

Anything else would be a bonus.

Think this is where we are regarding HG status for the league. Over 21 only.

Homegrown:

Rose (Club)
Kane (Club)
Winks (Club)
Trippier (Nation)
Davies (Nation)
Dele (Nation)

Non Homegrown (Max of 17)

01 - Lloris
02 - Vorm
03 - Gazzaniga
04 - Vertonghen
05 - Alderweireld
06 - Lucas
07 - Dier
08 - Aurier
09 - Llorente
10 - Dembele
11 - Sissoko
12 - Lamela
13 - Wanyama
14 - Eriksen
15 - Son
16 - N'Koudou
17 - Janssen

Davies does not count as home grown i believe. Remember poch being pissed off about it.

GK: Lloris, P Lopez, Gazzaniga

RB: Aurier, Trippier
CB: Alderweireld*, Vertonghen, Sanchez, Foyth
LB: Rose*, Davies

DM: Dier, Wanyama
CM: Dembele, Winks, Ndombele

AM: Eriksen, Dele, Son, Malcom, Moura, Lamela*

ST: Kane, Arp

Sell: Vorm (end of contract), Sissoko, Nkoudou, Janssen, Llorente
Loan: Walker-Peters, Carter-Vickers, Onomah, Edwards

I've starred Alderweireld, Rose and Lamela as potentially all could move on in the summer. I'd ideally like to keep them all, but they've been linked with moves away/have contract issues, and would need to be replaced (CB: De Vrij; LB: Sessegnon/Aaron/Chilwell; AM: Maddison).

Another conundrum is Dembele. As we saw yesterday, when he’s at his best, few are better. But how long will he be able to maintain that level? He’s turning 31 this year, and will only have 12 months left on his contract in the summer. I hope we keep him, offer him a further year, and save him for the big games. But we need to bring in another box-to-box midfielder IMO. We’ve been linked with Kondogbia, but Ndombele of Lyon would be my pick. He’s Dembele-esque in terms of skill and power, with arguably more dynamism and creativity going forward. He’d cost a pretty penny though. De Jong at Ajax looks a very good talent too, albeit more defensively-minded than Ndombele.

With financial faolirplay 2.0 loans for over 21's may be banned (although i doubt they'd bring it in this year).
