I worry that all they really need is a world class defensive mid. But they will only get one with CL

Needs more than that, look how unbalanced Utd looked the other night at Wembley for example. Lacazette and Ozil on the wings is not going to be defensively resolute.

Would be interesting to see who a neutral fan picks

Eriksen vs Ozil
Son vs Lacazette
Deli vs Mkhitaryan
Kane vs Aubamyang
Wanyama vs Ramsey
Dembele vs Wilshere

Despite plenty of people ripping into them on here, they're still only 3 points behind us before we take on a difficult visit to Anfield. Anyone who isn't worried about them should be.

No ones saying they're perfect. For all their unbalancedness, they're 2nd in the league and Arsenal aren't far behind.

The biggest problems that Arsenal have at the moment is the weekly turbulence about every bad performance and Wenger's future, plus the team's metal strength/fragility, for lack of a better phrase.

Yeah I get that I'm confused at the point you're making in relation to my post, that's all.

My point being, you're downplaying Arsenal and keep saying how unbalanced they are yet, they're just 3 points behind us. I think they're going to be more of a threat than some people are trying to make out.

I'm not downplaying them, I merely commented on the team that Bubbles posted which is unbalanced ...

I'd wager they'd be an awful lot further behind us if we weren't at Wembley all season. They should be embarrassed to be behind us at all

Arsenal are very streaky. Capable of the sublime or the ridiculous.

They are notoriously unpredictable and could finish anywhere between 2nd and 8th. That obviously means that you underestimate them at your peril.

Looks like Cech is going to miss the Derby. Which is a shame because he's a shell of the keeper he used to be. I'm sure Ospina played the other year and had a blinder. What are the odds on that again?

They've been trying and failing to sign a decent DM for the past 10 years to be fair.
Have they actually tried? The only DM they've bought in recent years is Xhaka (and Elneny, but it feels like he shouldn't count). Other than that they've mostly relied on youth products in Coquelin, Wilshere and Ramsey, even that Frimpong guy got a run in the side at one point.

For me it's an area they've totally and utterly neglected. It really is as if they haven't even tried.

Yeah sorry I was counting them lot in that as well but was just badly worded. I mean the people they've signed have been by and large complete flops, and they've had a few people like Coquelin who've been alright but not necessarily good enough for a title winning team.

I can't believe the Arsenal fans I'm having to deal with at work, legitimately think they're world beaters with their new signings. They've gone from in their eyes to being shit to now looking like they could win the league next season (seriously) and I said to them with the 2 signings it could potentially raise their level but you haven't done shit yet so hold your fucking horses!

Really want us to put them in their place as I feel this is the general feeling amongst the Arsenal fans right now.
