No doubting his quality, but our midfield should be the core of the side and we should be concentrating on players who can form the spine of the team for years, not those with limited shelf life and high cost IMO.

I'd take him in the summer, if an agreement could be made in a heartbeat. Unfortunately he has said a few times he wants to retire there.
