Yeah I saw that as well. But wasn’t sure if that was last season or whole career. He also barely gets involved in games it’s a bit defoe like. He generally averages less than 20 touches a game. But obviously his scoring record negates him getting criticism. I think this is the main reason big clubs have never gone for him. Most big clubs want that focal point like a Kane morata Lukaku who can be a more all round number 9. Aubameyang relys on his pace and won’t be getting any quicker closer he gets to 30. Obviously because he has signed for them I’m looking for every negative. But honestly I don’t think he will be a game changer for them. Will most likely do ok as lacazette has but nothing outstanding imo.
He's a big upgrade on Lacazette. The only doubt is whether he can handle the pace of the PL. They will score a lot of goals with Ozil and Miki behind him, the question is will the midfield and defence be even more exposed?

He had 31 touches in 180 mins in CL. Besides his 1 goal we pretty much shut him down. People on here talking like he’s messi lol.

These Arsenal players will have never faced 70,000 Yids in full voice. Even though it’s the shitty early kickoff, let’s hope the crowd are really for up for it.

Ok i'll take one for the team and have some early morning beers pre-game, to see if that helps my singing!

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/feb/07/premier-league-champions-league-who-will-qualify

Good read on the Guardian this afternoon. Seven Guardian sports writers pick their top four come the end of the season. We are in 3rd or 4th place in all seven. No one pick Arsenal and only one chose Chelsea.

I loved this line from Barney Ronay: "Tottenham should have the Champions League spot their good husbandry deserves"
I think it's rather foolish to write off Arsenal or Chelsea. Arsenal have only missed out on the CL once in 17 years and the time that Chelsea missed out they ended up winning the thing. Both are capable of going on long unbeaten runs and winning trophies at the same time.

I'm inclined to agree but Arsenal are too poor defensively and Chelsea have Bakayoko so we should be fine ;)

It may seem like a premature call but i reckon if we beat Arsenal, we pretty much can lock in a top 4 spot.

I just look at the fixture around us and with man u, chelsea and liverpool all playing each other, ponts have to be dropped somewhere. Then chelsea and man u also have to play city. We also have chelsea and city on run home, but 3 points on saturday would help massively.

Anyway, winning this game against Arsenal (or a draw at the worst) is obviously the 1st step.

Winning it would be amazing for us but I don't think any result is a disaster. The top 4 is still so open but I do think we need to win to actually get into it. Once we are there we can battle to stay in it rather than get into it.

No way can we lock in a top 4 place if we beat Arsenal we still have Chelsea and Man City to play. There will be other teams that will surprise us. The only thing I'm sure about is that Man City will win the league.

Not sure how this is relevant, history really has no bearing on today's happenings. Whilst I don't agree with writing teams off I don't see the point about bringing up past instances to try and form an prediction now.

They’d be out of it imo 7pts off with a Europa league campaign that they will probably priorities if they lose. Still have City and united with 11 games left. Also will be playing catch up with carabo final next week we could go 10 pts clear of them. Europa killed United last season. I’d expect them to seriously tail off.

If Arsenal lose, I think they will resign to not getting top 4 and focusing all efforts on Europa. Either way, its massive for both, Arsenal win, the top 4 race is blown wide open again for them, considering they looked out of it after Swansea game.

If that was the case I think we would have beaten Chelsea away by now. When you achieve something repeatedly as a club it gives them confidence they can do it again.

Why would we have beaten Chelsea away by now?
Chelsea only really started to become good in 96, there have been a number of times when we were better than them and couldn't close the deal. Even when they finished 10th we still couldn't get the win. 27 years without an away win, is an embarrassment for a top club.

It's one record that really winds me up, the 'battle of the bridge' should have been a given that we broke the record. I agree that 27 years is way too long and an embarrassing record.

Who are you referring to when you say "top club".

I know who the embarrassment is.

Hint: it is not the club you supposedly support.
