Agree but Poch has also been in the habit of the last few weeks of getting snippy with reporters when they inquire about other players than those on the pitch after a win. After the ManU win he ignored questions about Lucas. He also did the same with Toby when people kept asking if he would play ManU or Liverpool. Not reading too much into it, especially with no reports of any fallout or frustration. But it wasn’t a negative question. If there had been rumours of a rift between Poch and Toby leading up to the match then I’d completely understand Poch’s reaction but there’s nothing in it. He would normally be first choice so the reporter was just asking basically if he wasn’t fit enough or has he suffered a setback or something. Fair question.
There’s been a million worse questions put to Poch before. I’m sure it’s nothing but if anything, Poch’s reaction has made me think there could be an issue behind the scenes. If he’d just said ‘Wednesday was his first game back so we didn’t want to risk him today’ then that would’ve been that and the next question would’ve been asked. Unless that reporter knows something about Toby that we don’t.
As I say, I’m sure it’s nothing at all but it was a little odd considering the kind of character Poch is. Probably Poch was just pissed off being there when he wanted to go celebrate the win via doggy with the missus.
