What constitutes a perfect score in half pipe? How did Shaun White not get an 100 on that first run? Dude just CRUSHED it.

Wow. Just. Wow. Shaun White is incredible. Needed that run for gold and NAILED it. What a comeback. Missed the medals in Sochi. Crashed hard 4 months ago and busted his face. 4th Gold for the US in the snowboards. What a run from him. Good send off.

Oh good. Western Media is now glorifying Kim Jong Un's sister and the NK cheer squad. FFS guys. North Korea is a fucking hermet regime threatening nuclear war, starving their own citizens, and the only information of the outside world they get is completely falsified through propaganda channels. Christ. What the fuck is wrong with people.

The NY Times has an interesting and depressing piece about them. Apparently, they are unpaid, have to stay at a remote resort with N.Korean journalists and minders from the regime, they are taken to the venues by a police escort, inside the venues they are surrounded by plain-clothed police officers so they can't interact with anyone who hasn't been authorised and they are chaperoned everywhere by their minders, including to the toilet. When they return home they won't be allowed to talk about what they saw in S.Korea and doing so would mean they'll end up like earlier cheerleader squads who went to prison camps for breaking that pledge.

And yet according to some div on the BBC last night "regardless of your opinion on the Korean cheerleaders you can't deny they've brought entertainment to the Olympics". So would a dancing bear, entertainment doesn't make this acceptable.

I am sad to say that the for the first time in my life I haven't watched a single thing from the Winter Olympics. Previously, I used to watch even curling.

Just been catching up the highlights of yesterdays snowboarding and Shaun White... the guy's just something else. That was the most effortless run i've ever seen. Back to back 1440's and so much style, he's a genuine legend of the sport and he's barely into his 30s.

Living in Norway the WO's obviously get even more attention than the SO's and the hype when Norwegians win golds is extreme.

My favourite winter sport has always been the biathlon. Doesn't matter if you are the best skiier if you fail to keep a cool shooting head. Makes for great drama.

And Johannes Bø just won the 20k so pretty chuffed now.

Best thing about the Olympics so far for me? Eve Muirhead of the GB ladies curling team, screaming "Hard, HARDER!" as the stone goes down the ice. She is lovely.

It's going to be close between Team GB and perennial rivals Liechtenstein this year. Nervous :nailbiting:.

Ive been watching bbc coverage for about 2 hours. 1hr45 just chatting, 15 minutes showing a replay of our bronze. Are they not allowed to show much live stuff? Doesnt make any sense to me at all.

I’m guessing you didn’t see the Russian figure skater then. OMG.

Yeah BBC coverage is appalling. Without subscribing to eurosport I'm seeing hardly any action these Olympics. I've realised that the beeb simply don't really care about sport.

Lizzy Yarnold with a superb final run, successfully defending her Skeleton title. Laura Deas picked up the bronze as well.

Another Super Saturday for Team GB. Our first ever medal on ski, our first ever retained Winter Olympic title and our first ever double-medal in a single event.
