Wilson has been cleared of any wrong doing and Eddie Jones was verbally and physically assaulted on a train after the game. I get the Wilson decision, slow mo makes it look worse when you watch it in real time it’s not that bad.

Sad to hear Jones getting shit. He’s an inflammatory character but you’ve got to be some kind of prick to physically abuse him, though giving him some verbals (as long as it didn’t go to far) I can understand seeing as he himself likes to dish it out.

Think Wilson is very lucky to be honest. Seen lots of people cop bans for less.

But you are right that the stills and the slo-mo made it look worse.

As for Eddie, you really do have to be a special kind of moron to start something like that on a train. Unfortunately rugby fans are moving more and more into the realms of the football fan.

Personally I'm not sure I'd start on Eddie. He has the look of someone who would stab you without even thinking about it.

I thought exactly the same. Eddie is not exactly a pussy, in fact I’d imagine he’s as hard as nails and would put most people on their arse but thankfully it sounds like it didn’t come to that. When he was asked if it was physical or verbal he said a bit of both so hopefully he put them off going to far with a few choice words although it would be funny to see some Little half Japanese guy put some big Scottish lager lout on his arse but then he’d get into shit.

Surely some papers will be trying to get some CCTV footage. Be interesting to see how physical it got.

For people that can't watch at work, it's nothing that serious just some lads call him a ****. This obviously wasn't the "physical" stuff that happened but you can imagine what a load of pissed up twats would be like on a long train journey.

I remember brian moore saying that he just gets constantly abused walking the to the millenium stadium when commentating. Rugby fans aren't exactly angels (but obviously nothing like the worst football fans).

I bet they aren’t even rugby fans.

Getting all sorts of arseholes jumping on the bandwagon now that Rugby has gone more mainstream. It is a Scottish/Celtic thing as well though. One of my mates is from Glasgow and knows precisely fuck all about Rugby and he's been parading around like a dog with 2 pricks since the game.

Yeah I know quite a few like that too. At least with the Welsh you know the chances are they love rugby Obviously no excuse for abusing people, though. Mind you that vid isn’t that bad just cringe more than anything.

I know I’ve had a few words to say about Eddie and I still think he’s a bit of a prick but I respect him a lot. Not just from a rugby standpoint but also personal. He’s gone through a lot of shit and didn’t have the easiest upbringings either. Mind you, he’s been called a lot worse than “Baldy ****” so I’m sure it’s water off a ducks back.

Quins have signed a 'cooperation agreement' with the All Blacks apparently.

Not really sure what that means but I assume it means we'll be winning the World Cup next year.

Yet another club v country issue involving Wales players.

Does seem ridiculous that things like this can't be sorted, but it does also seem to stem from a desire from the Welsh RFU to stop players playing outside Wales.

Pretty poor from North as well if he's effectively refusing to play. If he's contracted to play for Northampton he should be doing just that, particularly considering how ineffective he's been for them generally and how they've presumably helped him back through injury.

Maybe it's a Northampton thing...Hartley seems to have no interest in playing for them either.

Yeah I saw this a couple of days ago and seems an odd one. Guess there’s 2 sides to every story and would need to hear George’s side.

If what the Northampton coach has said is true and North has refused to play then that’s poor, no 2 ways about it. I would say that I’d be surprised if it was anything to do with pressure from the WRU as we’ve had a really good reciprocal relationship with Bath re Faletau so I don’t know why we wouldn’t extend that to Northampton so you’d imagine this is North on his own doing this. Like I say, though, 2 sides and all that.

I guess he’s off in a few weeks but still no excuse and he needs minutes anyway, played in that Mickey Mouse cup game the other day so it’s odd, something doesn’t quite add up.

Perhaps @Japhet has some ITK info?

Don't know the ins and outs of it at all tbh. All I can say is that from my point of view North has been nothing but a huge disappointment since joining Saints. On the rare occasions he hasn't been injured he's looked uninterested and unmotivated. Can't wait to be shot of him. As for Hartley, he's regularly touted as the 2nd best hooker at Northampton after Mikey Hayward - make of that what you will.

Yeah, North has not been worth the investment. Should free up quite a lot of cash for the Saints rebuild.

Considering some of the issues Quins have had with Roberts, and on top of some of the other problems that have happened recently, I'd be quite happy if Quins didn't go anywhere near any Welsh players for a while.

Not because they aren't good players, but it just seems too much hassle. I think it all stems from the issue I've talked about before where there are quite a few international players who simply don't really care about their club sides, whether that's in their own country or when they move abroad.

Maybe that's normal and I'm just lucky to be a Quins fan where generally our England players have always put a shift in for Quins, but either way I do really dislike how some players treat their clubs, particularly as every single one of them will have needed those clubs to get them into the international spotlight in the first place.

On the subject of Quins...we won a fucking game this weekend!

We've had players from all over the world at Saints and generally speaking they've given everything. North is a glaring exception. Will be interesting to see if Dan Biggar turns up next year. I wouldn't put money on it.

Yeah, he’s not set the Aviva Premiership alight but I think he was so unlucky with those head injuries. To have doctors tell you you’re one knock out away from needing to retire (or even worse-brain damage) and even some doctors telling him he should step down now must’ve been a massive mental blow for him. He’s only just now starting to rediscover his form now and it’s obviously no secret that he’s fallen down the pecking order a bit with Wales but a fit, in form George North is a world class player but it’s now a question of staying fit and finding form.

He doesn’t look like he’s enjoying himself at the moment but I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see him playing with a smile on his face once he gets back to Wales next season and then we’ll see the real George North. Ospreys should be going all out for him but he’ll probably end up at Scarlets even though Pivac said they don’t need him. I can understand what a frustrating signing he must’ve been for you, though.

Biggar is the type of player who’d always give everything. He’s a winner. A moaner, a prick, a twat and probably a lot worse could be labelled at him but not lazy or unmotivated.

Is North not joining the 'resurgence' at Dragons?

It really is amazing that he's only 25. Feels like he's already had a career of highs and lows.

I read those links but think it’s wishful thinking. Nothing has been agreed as far as I’m aware.

I know, already achieved a lot at only 25 with lots of ups and downs. He’ll come through it a better player though.
