Interesting - both UEFA and ESPN list Gazzaniga on the bench instead of Vorm - but nothing from Spurs (other than announcing Vorm on the bench).

I assume ESPN use the same data as UEFA - no idea where they get their info.

ETA - nevermind - its ESPN and Google, UEFA has Vorm

3 of the Juventus back 4 are 30+. Barzagli is almost 37.

Our forwards should tear them a new arsehole.

IMO son has been included for us to counter at pace. Juve have to score so won't be able to play their usual game. I think we will be looking to play the same way we did against Madrid at Wembley.

Their team is strong but let's not get our knickers in a twist and fall for the old 'foriegn sounding name must be good' nonsense. Yes they have good players, but so do we. Italian football is played at half the speed of the prem, although very tactical/technical, the players get time to play. They will not get that luxury tonight.

Just a few comparisons but dembele is better than any of their midfielders, Kane is better than Higuain and for me Son has far more end product than Costa.

We respect them of course, but there should be no sense of individual or collective inferiority. We are 4th against their second in a much stronger and more competitive league.

Risky to play our best team?

Be riskier to change the gameplan that’s worked so well for us against United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Juventus in recent weeks. Wanyama’s form has been too mixed recently to start above Son or Lamela for this one.
Poch got the selection wrong in the first leg imo and we were lucky Juve decided to sit for counters instead of continuing to drive at us after going 2 up, which let us back in.

I would have liked to have seen Rose at LB at least.

To win we have to be on fire...and the fans will need to play their part.

Why does Rose deserve to play, his hardly played, nowhere no fit enough for this kind of game

As I said, I'd have seriously considered going with three at the back, but as expected really.

Tough game, but these are the matches we want to be experiencing. Competing against the biggest and most established at the top table.

As for this Rose thing...... Fucking hell lol. I can only assume that most of you have never been on like an away trip etc, where various players routinely blank the fans (including little kids excited to see their heroes up close) getting on/off the bus with the heads down and hands in pockets approach, as going on these standards some of you would be giving them nuclear heat complaining about it

Rose has said himself he's not fit enough for the standards at spurs yet so it would be unlikely for him to start the biggest game of our season

Ok - how about the old 'they are unbeaten in 20 matches, and have conceded only 2 goals in their last 11 matches so they must be good' nonsense?

Juve, in a knockout match, is the best team we have faced all season (maybe excepting Man City). We can do this. but let not pretend this is not one of the best teams in Europe!

Despite not being a natural RB, Barzagli has played there a lot and is usually very solid there. What he lacks in pace he makes up for with his positional sense and reading of the game. The defence will shift a lot to help him and Juve will look to have Sandro press forward creating a 3-4-3.

Spurs need to take advantage of Barzagli's lack of pace. Son needs to be the key to opening Juve up.
