Let's win a domestic trophy and then have the realistic chance of going for the CL we need that first trophy to give us the feeling of winning. The FA Cup is realistic

This competition is all about experience. We only need to look at PSG last night.

I sat and watched the game with a player now a coach who has won the Champions League and who has played in Italy. The whole game he kept saying Juve will find a way to win 2-1. When they scored to make it 1-1 he said it was game over they would win. This was based on years of his experience playing and coaching against the likes of Juve.

We lost to a team with a lot of experience in the competition. We will grow from it, but it is tough to take right now.

Man City have taken a few years to gain their experience and they have spent hundreds of millions to get there.

Liverpool for all our banter with their fans have a club steeped in the competition, with a manager who has been to a Final and coached his previous club which had won it previously.

No problem with a bit of criticism, but some of the comments in this thread are embarrassing to say the least. Funny thing is some of these posts are coming from posters that take the piss at the over reactions from the posters on Rawk.

Ok. I haven’t read the thread to be fair. Just came out the stadium where I saw it all unfold with the manager not reacting quick enough. Now stuck at wilsden junction waiting half an hour for a train to Clapham Junction because they’ve cancelled one. Just what is needed right now.

At 1-0 Beglin on commentary said Juve haven't threatened spurs at all, I turned to my dad and said I hate when they say that kind of shit and within 10 seconds Higuain scored ffs. Couldn't make it up.
Happens so often. Admittedly we have been much better since Poch came in but sometimes you wish ppl would just wait. Say it in the 89th minute not with nearly 30 mins to play

Nothing to do with bottling it and feck all to do with substitutions the second half was down to pure naivety plain and simple.

Allow me to explain ehem.

You are 1 -0 up in a game where your oppoents are not having a sniff have not had a shot on target and have to score 2 goals ?

So you push right up your midfielders are pressing there back 4 and you look for that elusive killer 2nd goal ?

Or you tell your centre mids to sit in and sheild your cb that are a youngster and a man on a yellow your full backs stop playing as wing forwards and drop a bit deeper and you counter a team that have to push up and go for broke when you have proved that your actually quite good at counter attacking football against some of the best let alone a ageing back line that lack pace for a counter attack. ?

Sorry chaps but that second half was naivety at it' finest juve go a goal up and then teach us how we should have started the second half until we start to manage games better we will always be vulnerable to that kind of result.

Hopefully we learn now and don' sulk and go out and smash the fucking granny out of every prem team and fa cup team in till the seasons over and go at the cl again nxt season and have a silver pot to polish.

Is that all you live for? To tell people they are wrong or to shit on people when they have just watched the club they love get knocked out of the champions league? Why do you even bother fucking posting? It’s like you’re an emotionless robot that just wants to criticise people because they show passion for their club.

Are you taking joy in it? You don’t seem at all bothered by the result, more focused on trying to take sly pops at a fellow spurs supporter than actually giving a shit about the result?

I don’t want to hear some happy clapper bollocks right now, we had the tie in our hands and WE blew it.

Tactically naive, mentally feel apart after they scored their first goal as well.

The questions are always going to be asked about us until we actually show up in games like this, away against Juve we showed a maturity that felt like we had turned a massive corner, same thing in the first half tonight.

But the SECOND that goal went in for Juve I could see it written across our players, THOSE are the moments when we see just how far we have come and every single time
over the last two years one of those moments have presented themselves we have done this, failed to finish the job, it’s continuous false dawns for us, at some point we have to learn.

Also, some of us are capable of changing our minds rather than thinking in a linear fashion, you can criticise me all you want and I might even look back at this post tomorrow and cringe and feel stupid but at least I know I had the fucking guts to
speak my mind and not be some sheep that constantly takes pleasure in making other spurs supporters feel like shit about emotional reactions for their team.

I love Spurs and it hurts when shit like this has happened watching them my entire life.

It happens time and time again, I am sick of saying “Oh well, maybe next year” or “So proud of the lads” when I know we are good enough to win games like this, we were the better team tonight but due to our tactical naivety and inability to find that winning edge that we desperately need, we have failed, again.

I am logging off for the night, you can take pleasure in moaning at other spurs supporters for once.

We've discussed this before so I respect your opinion but honestly I don't want to read people calling poch a "school boy" or our players a "disgrace" anymore then you want to see people calling it out

People can feel as upset as they want and I understand it but why abuse players, how does that prove loyalty to the club? Why are people who call players who've obviously given everything "shameful" anymore of a fan then those that are upset, but able to take a reasoned view of it and then have to sit through pages of shit about "bottling" rather then actually discussion about the game.

If anything it seems like people were waiting for our 17 game unbeaten run to come to an end so they could be fucking negative again

Literally there's already a fucking thread up saying we've got no leaders. We were inches away taking that to extra time, are 4th in the league and finished 2nd last year but have no leaders? That's not just stupid it's factually incorrect.

Be sad but don't be ****s (not saying you personally have been)

We lost not because of lack of leadership or playing badly. We lost because top players and top teams take their chances and that’s what Juventus did and we failed to do.

The game reminded me of the Chelsea game at the start of the season where we bossed and dominated only for Chelsea to have two chances which they buried and beat us 2-1
Entirely agree and that's what worries me. We aren't learning our lessons. Football games are played over 90 minutes. It doesn't matter how good you are for 80 of them if for 5 or 10 minutes you stop concentrating and give up incredible chances. We still have a young and inexperienced squad -hopefully they learn from this and grow rather than start demanding transfers away or more money they haven't earnt.

I recorded the game. Just came home, sat down put the tv down and some Irish prick who never made it at the top level telling me that Spurs lost and its a catastrophe for Spurs and Poch and how it's going to affect the players and Poch thinking on what Spurs can achieve. So not only did he ruin watching the game, he made me think we were hammered .

Stormed up to bed, not ready to see any of the game now.
Who was it Richard Sadlier knob lol

It's Juventus after all. Not a shit team by any means. And we dominated 169 of 180 minutes. Can't ask for a better performance overall. Yeah, we could have scored a couple more. It happens. First goal they score, yeah marking could have been better but it was also a very good attacking move. It happens. Second goal is the only thing that bothers me. Davies overall put in a good shift and worked hard but the positioning to play Dybala onside was shocking. Other than that - I'm proud of the boys. Gutted, gutted, gutted but again, don't know what more to ask for in performance and effort. Sometimes the better team lose because of lack of concentration for 3 seconds.

I don’t understand the abuse I’m getting from Arsenal fans all over social media right now. It’s like they’ve waited all season for this one opportunity to stick the boot in.... they lost to fucking brighton and hove Sunday!

Anyway. I never expected to win the champions league and the main excitement was to see us against the big teams, we’ve got to play Madrid, Juve and Dortmund home and away and lost 1 game! That’s amazing

legends don’t draw at Madrid.
legends don’t beat Madrid
legends don’t beat Dortmund home and away
legends don’t come back from 2 down at Juventus.
Theres a lot to be proud of this champions league run. Probably the hardest run out of all the teams.

There was no bottling. We just lost a game we didn’t deserve to for a couple of reasons. One I’ve already said and the other was not taking our chances in the first half. We paid for that.

The rest is just football. Teams win and lose. The way we kept going made me think we’d score. This team NEVER gives up. We are so far from a bottling side.

I am absolutely gutted. Think we really need to learn to be more ruthless with chances.

I have no voice left, I was climbing the barriers urging us on until the last minute. Just such a shame.
