Italy are not qualified for the World Cup so he won't go there... but I agree, Balotelli could be worth a punt this summer. But i don't think he is a Poch player, so he will end up elsewhere.

Nobody with a brain wants that clown anywhere near their club.

Keita is nothing like Can. Keita is virtually an AM. Imo he will struggle in a 3 in PL. very exciting to watch but very undisciplined. Think he will end up a lallana type flitting between midfield and front 3. Can is closest they have to a DM. They will definitely need to buy a DM. Pretty sure their biggest net spend under FSG is about £40m. They’ve sold a lot of star players to build a squad sterling Suarez coutinho. Revenue wise they will be behind us after stadium is up and running.

I think Keita will thrive in Liverpool's 433 high energy game and will handle the PL no problem.

Diawara from Napoli would be ideal imo. But can't see Napoli selling him - at least not for a price that's attainable for us.

I give a fuck seeing as how they are already above us, and Keita will make them better, and is exactly the type of player we need.

Honestly believe Keita will be a Pogba situation as in what’s his position. If they play a 3 of Keita DM Ox will be stupidly attacking but leave themselves massively exposed.

On behalf of the club wanting to pole the comments of SC. Please can we have a sensible discussion.

It is widely known Danny Rose’s situation ‘will’ be up for review at the end of the season. This also applies to Toby. I want to add my wish for Sissoko to be in that situation, along VJ, and possibly Coco (I want us to keep him). Would you agree with the following:

1. Sell Toby circa (c) 50
2. Sell Danny c. 40m
3. Sell VJ c. 12-15m
4. Sell Sissoko-whatever we can get c. 15m
5. Keep Coco, and only sell if situation contract-wise does not activate.

That works out at an average of 110m (aside from wages) comes in.

A. We bring in a quality German 22 year old, height 6ft 4, with presence, technique, and quality, for 35m
B. Sess for 50m
C. Dembele apprentice c. 35m
D.Malcom c. 50-60
E. A versatile Kane accomplice 20-40m

That is a total spend of 220m. Deduct 110 (sales), leaves a deficit of 110. Thus is covered with the existing budget set aside for the splash.

What would you do. Would you be for? Or against?

*The club seeking a pole is a joke!*

£110m net spend is a tad optimistic, surely. Certainly wouldn’t be against it.

Don’t want Tobi going to a prem rival, though.

Dembele apprentice at £35m ain’t going to get you much I would’ve thought. Unless we’re signing some highly rated 17 year old.

Fair comment, and definitely optimistic, but it is a possibility.

I feel Malcom is pointless to bring in now. We have Eriksen, Dele, Son, Lamela and Lucas. And by all accounts, Sessegnon in the summer. Just no room for Malcom anymore.

Agree. Can only see room for malcom if one leaves and I don't want anyone to leave.

Keep Vinny at all costs. Get him focused and sharp, give him another season to prove himself. Save the Kane accomplice money and give our young strikers the chance to step up. The last homegrown one hasn't done too badly. Would love De Ligt and Modric back. Would be amazed if we had a £110m net spend though.

City is clearly the bench mark, so if we want to go toe to toe in a 4141 this is how I see it.

FB. - this won’t happen, but I don’t think any of our 4 are really top quality. They are all ok. Sell Trippier and rose and upgrade.

CB- fine
DM- fine

I’d play dele and Eriksen either side of the DM. Kane and Son upfront with one other. I like Lamela and moura but not sure either are top top class. So that’s where I’d invest and we’d have a starting xi that could go toe to toe with city.

Only sell Toby if we absolutely cannot find a way to keep him. Keeping experienced quality at the club should be a priority, as we saw on Wednesday, however good and promising your young players are, in the biggest games experience and know how are vital. If Toby had been playing, we probably wouldn't have conceded those 2 goals, and the club would've made another £15M for getting through to the quarters.

Are selling DR and signing Sess linked? Because Sess obviously isn't a left back any more so we'd have to sign another left back. If we felt that DR could get back to his best I'd prefer to keep him. Also not sure who's going to pay big money for him now given he hasn't proved his fitness.

Happy to trade Lamela for Malcom even though I like Lamela. Only problem with him is he's worth very little given his contract situation, so might as well keep him.

Personally I would be against this level of turnover just because we have seen Poch's techniques take time to master and integration with the first team is key. A lot of our first team regs will be at world cup + prob be given extra vacation afterwards.

The only players I would go for selling are Rose and Sissoko. Rose just has not returned to the player he was and I think a sale would benefit us (money) and him (restart his mentality and hunger). Sissoko I am not team anti, I just think he fills a squad role and it would be easy to improve. Toby I obviously understand we may have to sell but I still would like to see us try and keep him one more year even with that clause.
