Wouldn't Eriksen be getting a bigger assist bonus than a goal one anyway? What a mad thing to get annoyed at our best player for too
When we started becoming a good team. We used to be able to laugh at our selves, you know, have a sense of humour. Now it's all bullshit.Agreed. I can’t believe what I’m reading in this thread. Some of these posters don’t even deserve an on loan Andy Booth, let alone Harry,
If people are genuinely that outraged by our best player in decades being a touch hyperbolic in his endeavours to claim a goal, then I give up. Outrage over something this trivial? When did our fan base become such a bunch of fannies?
I don’t think he’s a villain, I think it’s all blown out of proportion but it’s not the reaction I would like to see from him. Firstly swearing on your daughter’s life is just an odd thing to say to the media, I wouldn’t swear grass was green on mine. Secondly, the saying don’t bite the hand that feeds you comes to mind with regards Eriksen.
Again I’m not foaming at the mouth over it but it’s a disappointing reaction from him, IMO of course.
I don’t understand how people can complain that it’s “cringe” and “small-time”, but also be desperate for Salah to win it. Either it matters or it doesn’t. If it doesn’t, then who cares? If it does matter, then why shouldn’t he claim it if he scored?
Football fans on the internet are absolutely obsessed with this bullshit “playing it cool” posturing. As if they have too much dignity to take pleasure in anything less than winning the champions league. Any acheivement of another team must be caveated. People go on about how it’s “just the league cup” or how someone is “celebrating a draw like they won the title”. It’s so depressing and joyless; why do people devote their lives to telling people on bbc sport and twitter that they don’t care about what they’re talking about?
The whole concept of being “small-time” is the saddest of all. Anyone who uses the term “small-time” sounds like an Apprentice contestant who thinks they have found the secret to being a big-shot success and that the secret is being deluded.
It's up there with making a comment, people disagreeing and then claiming you've 'baited' them or 'reeled them in'...I don't get itI don’t understand how people can complain that it’s “cringe” and “small-time”, but also be desperate for Salah to win it. I just don't see either of a big issue, the comment is harmless and I doubt that Eriksen cares that much.
Such a weird reaction tbh.
I'd love to see this footage that Freeki has seen that shows Kane not even a foot near the ball. It's impossible to tell from the footage whether he definitively touched it or not, but the fact that we've appealed would imply that Kane thinks he touched it and Eriksen doesn't care.
From this angle it looks as if he doesn't touch it, but it's inconclusive. I'm just looking forward to the decision today so we can all move on from it
This is for those whose IQ matches number of letters in 'IQ' = e.g. my West Ham-supporting mates on Whatsapp groups (given that there are far more of them than supporters of any other team). It's up there with making a comment, people disagreeing and then claiming you've 'baited' them or 'reeled them in'...I don't get it
It’s sadly not just endemic of this site. Some of the people around me this season at Wembley are absolute trash, they miss second half kick off, leave early, sarcastically mock and laugh at every single thing Sissoko does (good or bad, like they’ll laugh if he moscontrols but they’ll say something like ‘must’ve been trying to shoot’ if he plays a good pass), they get on Dele’s back for literally everything, love laying into Lloris Llorente and Aurier, but obviously Kane Eriksen and Vertonghen get a free pass. I actually hate them. Doesn’t help that the woman sounds like Pauline Fowler. When we started becoming a good team. We used to be able to laugh at our selves, you know, have a sense of humour. Now it's all bullshit.
We discussed this the other day when you asked why I wasn't posting hardly as much these days.
Liverpool fans are the most insanely deluded group in the wprld. Let them be and just laugh at them.Got to love the way Liverpool fans see the world.
Harry Kane gets a touch on a goal, would like it award to him - morally bankrupt individual
Mo Salah changes boots to avoid shaking the hands of team from Israel - Morally sound bloke who is bringing the world together.
