When you consider they have a squad of 23 so 20 outfield players which includes.

Mertersacker-retiring
Cazorla - 33 unfortunately for him looks over.
Cech- looks finished
Koscielny- 33 in September needs drugs before every game.
Wilshere- likely leaving
Monreal- 33 next season
Ramsey- 1 yr left ?

23 is a bit light for me anyway I’d say 24 is minimum. So they need to replace 5/7 players just to get the numbers up that’s without actually improving things. I’d say they have 6/7 players worthy of a top 4 squad. Massive rebuild needed.

Don't forget the manager, he's going too sooner or later.

I agree, a lot of players need replacing. Even with the salaries freed up when the dead wood leaves, it’s going to cost a lot of money to replace them, even with young players...

Seems like he is intent on hanging on though, like he doesn’t trust anyone else to play with his football club... Isn’t he on the board already? I think he’s long since stopped being objective and it might take a relegation or disastrous season to shake him, even then he might cling on...

I'm actually convinced that Ramsey would have been a far better player under a different manager, he has so much quality waiting to be untapped, or at least he did, he should be in his peak years now.

I maybe in the minority here but I think there's a decent player in Elneny, if he was under Poch's wing for instance

I think Holding also has potential but is in the worst possible coaching set up. Whilst he's obviously got a very strong track record with developing attacking players, can anyone name a good young CB that Wenger has EVER developed for that matter? Most of his best ones he either inherited (Adams, Bould, Keown etc) or signed at their peak (Campbell, Koscielny, Gallas, Mertesacker), and a lot went backwards under him. Players like Stepanovs, Cygan, Squillaci and Mustafi were highly rated before they joined but turned out to be utter disasters.

Their squad clearly has a lot of potential but does need several good defensive signings to make it work, and that's assuming that Ozil, Mkhitaryan, Aubameyang and Monreal don't show any signs of ageing next year (all will be 29 or older come the start of the season). Agree with the earlier point about them resembling us in the 90s with a few star players and a load of shit around them. Imagine being Mesut Ozil, a World Cup and La Liga winner, on a £350,000 a week contract in what should be the peak of his career, having to play with Callum Chambers and Alex Iwobi.

He signed a new contract a few months ago, his choice.

Arsenal remind me of Aston Villa about 15 years ago. A few good players but crappy squad depth. Is it wishful thinking that the Ozils and Aubameyangs of the squad could go leaving quite a flimsy team, which could go down? Hey, not everyone will agree but a Yid can dream...

Correct me if I'm wrong but surely it's better and less embarrassing to lose by 1 goal than to lose by 8?

Just came across this, cracked me up, Claude is loving it :ROFLMAO:

Am I right in also thinking 'bent' is a term used for cheap gear and knock off merchandise, etc. Or am I mistaken?

Great find though. Imagine the amount of people who must have called Ty deluded. Even that little kid did too.
