Ft, was a bit boring in the end because it was so easy. That Bailey kid has been at loads of clubs...

How young were the gunners U8s ?

Anyways I think that’s 29 for griffiths this season some return.

So, someone who watches a lot of the U18 games, could you shed some light on Reo Griffiths maybe for some of us who don’t get chance to follow the youngsters as much?

From what I’ve read on TransferMrket, he now has 23 goals in 18 games in the U18 PL this season, plus a few assists too, making him the top scorer in the league?

It’s also telling me he is 6ft and plays as a Center Forward, but is also capable of playing on the Wings too?

17 years of age, is it potentially feasible that he potentially has a spot on the bench maybe for the remaining league games this season? (Especially with Llorente’s apparent comments about being open to leaving Spurs this summer?) and can we expect to see him on the US tour this summer/in the mix for next season?

I think the general feeling in Griffiths is that his freakish physical stature( looks about 28) gives him an edge at youth level. And technique wise he’s maybe not the best. But you can’t argue with his numbers. I think today was 34 in all comps. If he does progress he will be very much a Lukaku type imo, quite reliant on brute force with Hopefully the technique to improve.

Seems weird to say this, but I really don't think he's that great! He does hold the ball up well, and his finishing is good...just something missing from him, can't put my finger on it....

I hope we get to see some kids training with senior squad last few games in preparation for the tours.

May have been very similar feeling about kane at same age. Doesn’t look that fluid but is efficient in what he does. But Kane was better technically, much better.

Unfortunately not

I'm no scout, but I recognised Kane had something special about 5 years ago. I actually posted it here and GG forum saying that he had a lot of potential. I certainly didn't think he'd become world class (which I think he is now) - but he had all of the following: a footballing brain, composure, strength, a clinical finish, brilliant reading of the game, and some nice bursts of pace/power

I'm not saying that Reo isn't going to make it - far from it.

It's a good comparison that the previous poster made, to Lukaku - I fully accept that Lukaku's 100 Premier league goals is nothing to sniff at - but I just don't think he's very good at football. What I mean by that is that if you put the ball in front of him, in a goalscoring position, he'll get a shot away, or work a yard to get his shot away - but his all round game is poor (IMO), his passing is terrible and he must be frustrating to play with. Compare that to Kane, who (besides the past few weeks) must be a dream to play alongside, because you know he'll be in the right place when you put a ball in the box - or if you make a good run, you know he'll see you and find you....

Again, Reo has time to develop - but of the 11 out there today, he excited me very little despite his goals

Markanday is a mini-Marcus Edwards - lovely close ball control
Skipp is really special (although did nothing sublime today other than a neat run to set up one of the goals - but this wasn't a sleight on his ability, more that the game was so easy - he barely needed to break a sweat)
DeBie looked really composed
Eyoma/Hinds/Richards all have something in their locker IMO

Well if he has the physcial advantage against youth opponents, but perhaps not enough in his locker to be a very good senior player. All while we probably offer him youth contract, then you can't really blame him the decision to make his money early on with a pro deal at RBL.

He has no England caps right? Bit weird if he doesn't get a nod soon with his current form.

I see you're somewhat right, he was in the european runners up squad, but got dropped for the world cup champions squad.
Was listed as a midfielder too, wide I assume. So might be time to get the opportunity as striker.
