I think that what a lot of observers fail to understand, or care to mention, is that what we are currently trying to do is almost unprecedented in the premier league era. We are building a team, not buying a team, that has the ability to challenge for honours on a consistent basis. On a budget! No team has done it. You could argue that Leicester did it, but they didn't really. Where are they now? Where is the progression? The infrastructure for sustained success?
It all takes time. Building a winning mentality takes time. Finding the right blend of players takes time. I couldn't give a monkey's about winning the FA cup at the moment! Arsenal have won 3 of the last 5, would you swap places with them? I wouldn't!
