Yeh right!!!...???

Nobody in this world is going to pay even half of that. 50m with incentives based contract over 5 years, depending if he achieved certain levels.

I still think he was ill-advised in the contract he signed.

From what I’ve seen of him anything over £20m to £25 million is too much.

He’s been on the periphery of most of the games I’ve seen him play in.

I totally agree, and wouldn’t venture beyond 25m in this market. Would prefer the LB Tierney at Celtic myself. Makes no difference anyway

"No difference" as in we're not getting either or that Tierney isn't going to happen?

Its not the Fb's job to scare opposition you're right but ours did and thats what set us apart. Look at the top teams in world football, their fullbacks are unbelievable and essentially additional wingers/midfielders. Not to mention with Davies and Trippier we lineup with zero speed on the field except Son if he's playing. We are painfully slow moving the ball. CM and fullbacks have to be our main priority this summer.
100% this

What we paid for Davinson Sanchez is probably a fair price for Sessegnon.

Sanchez was more proven at the time but Sessegnon is younger and English which inflates his value.

I’ve not been blown away either. He’s got nice movement in the final third and he’s composed when he gets there but I’m not seeing a pacy explosive type of player that some people are describing

Trippier the RB fantastic

I rate Sessegnon think he is a fantastic talent but if if Rose stays (cant see many takers for him), and we know Davies wont be sold so his chances at LB/WB will be limited, in the attacking three we already have Eriksen, Dele, Son, Lucas and Lamela , when would he get a game?

Also we have Bennetts coming through who certainly deserves a chance.

He's quicker than Rose, more intelligent (Not that is hard) and has better positioning sense

To be fair neither was Danny Rose until Poch turned up.

I think it’s a little different, Rose was a winger... average and inconsistent. Sessengnon was initially a LB was decent but really shone going forward so was moved to LW/LM and continued to develop. He played 20 match’s this season as LB scoring 2 and assisting 2, he’s played 30 as LM/LW scoring 13 and assisting 4. It’s main assests are going forward.

Plus the full back position is evolving. These days they’re expected to support the attacking play just as much as defending. Given we often dominate possession there is even more onus on the full backs to have more attacking intent. Look at Hakimi at Real Madrid, what is he 18, 19? He was outstanding last night going forward and even got himself a goal... yet he’s a right back. Ignoring the quality of the players whom would you rather have, Hakimi and Marcelo (pace and excellent going forward) or Trippier and Davies (former can’t defend, both are slow and neither can take the opposition full back on). Replace them with KWP and Sessegnon and we’ve two current generation players whom can both excel going forward.

All this at 17/18 ...

I don't understand the drawbacks at all tbh.
